Nikko.Z's Dopamine White continues to add new talent to their roster by welcoming Axel Zambrano to the label for his debut EP. Although only 24 years old, the Argentinean artist has already made an impact on the progressive music scene. As a DJ he has shared the stage with Ezequiel Arias, Matias Chilano, Berni Turletti, Julian Nates and Fabri López at some of his country's most highly regarded venues. While as a producer, Axel owns an impressive resume highlighted by releases on Balkan Connection South America, Droid9 South America, Freegrant Music and Strangers Beats. Now continuing a string of impressive projects Axel debuts on Dopamine White with 'Night Late'.

Axel's career momentum continues to rise with the lead track 'Night Late'. Backed by punchy beats and a warm, rolling groove it's got infectious energy from the outset. Its powerful drive is encased in a perfect balance of electronic rhythms, finely tuned percussion and cosmic effects. Clocking in at nearly two minutes in length the main break proves impactful, gracefully melting down to a bed of wavy arps, ghostly vocal wails and hopeful pads, before warm bass swells and a powerful drum roll elevate mood towards a heavenly finale.

The journey continues with the deep, chugging vibes of 'Phenom'. Immediately captivating, it's muscular bassline, dark undertones and catchy effects make for a groovy first act. Rolling percussion and uplifting arps play off the well carved low end, making for an irresistible, hip swinging groove leading into the break. Buoyant arps shift the mood upwards across the centrepiece, eventually surrounded by sweeping effects as tasteful modulation cues a powerful drop and resounding finish.

The release concludes in fine fashion with the peak time qualities of 'Alphin'. Beginning with perfectly sculpted beats and tight rhythms it's a production that's immediately compelling from the start. Sweeping noise builds tension as layers of percussion and ghostly vocal pads encase the framework. The main break takes you further into ominous narration with buzzing effects and gaseous atmospheres creating a prophetic vibe, eventually propelling the track to a heady finale. Energetic and sinister in equal measure, it rounds out what is an inspired collection of music from Axel Zambrano, who continues to rise up through the progressive house landscape as 2021 moves into its second quarter.
