Label boss Antrim steps into the spotlight once again with a brand new single for his Or Two Strangers imprint. In just over a year the Argentinean artist has developed the label into one of the finest outlets for contemporary progressive house. Now following a collaboration with fellow countryman Luis Bondio, Antrim returns with ‘Carnatica’ alongside remixes from Kamilo Sanclemente and Jorgio Kioris.

While some of Antrim’s productions carry a grandiose peak time flair, ‘Carnatica’ finds the sweet spot between deep and progressive house. It’s rippling low end packs great drive while broken percussion and haunting pads open up the framework. As momentum builds, haunting vocals signal the pixie-esque lead line. Squirrelly and unpredictable it takes you on an astral journey before a timely break resets the groove and electric stabs initiate a free flowing third act finale.

The first interpretation of ‘Carnatica’ is provided by Kamilo Sanclemente who is making his Or Two Strangers debut. Regarded as one of Colombia’s foremost progressive house talents, Kamilo has found a home on Einmusika, Manual Music and Parquet Recordings. His Or Two Strangers debut does not disappoint as he takes ‘Carnatica’ into peak time territory. Backed by a fuller, driving groove the Colombian’s detailed drum work and vivacious harmonics quickly appease the senses. Glowing pads and a scenic atmospheric storyboard set up the main break perfectly. The nearly two minute interlude is a feast for the senses, as it ebbs and flows through dynamic transitions before settling on a pensive bed of electronics. The smooth euphoric build is perfectly executed and will no doubt bring magic to your dance floor.

The second and final interpretation is provided by Jorgio Kioris who is also making his label debut. The Greek artist and Bloque music founder had an impressive 2017, highlighted by releases on Asymmetric Recordings, One Of A Kind and Hookah Records. Now following a single for Tash’s Movement Recordings to begin the new year, Jorgio makes his first appearance on Or Two Strangers with a superb rendition of ‘Carnatica’. Staying true to the main themes from the original it’s the Greek artists penchant for warm, contoured grooves that makes this such a dance floor gem. Add to that a cascading motif and cross-cultural vocal and you’ve got a stellar nine minute journey to cap off the release. More progressive house brilliance from Antrim’s Or Two Strangers imprint which continues to grow as 2018 moves forward.
