Agustin Pietrocola – Enough [Dopamine White]

Continuing to add new talent to the roster, Nikko.Z's Dopamine White welcomes Agustin Pietrocola to the label for his debut EP. Emerging in 2017 with a string of releases via Mystic Carousel Records, the Argentinean artist went on to showcase his progressive sound via 3rd Avenue, BCSA, Droid9 South America, Mango Alley, Movement Recording and One Of A Kind. Inspired by the likes of Guy J, Marcelo Vasami and Pole Folder, Agustin now adds Dopamine White to his resume with a two-track showcase entitled Alone'.

Beginning with the title cut, Agustin crafts a dark, peak time slice of progressive house. Tough and driving from the outset, its rolling low end is perfectly carved, flowing through hip shaking undulation, while striking stabs and crisp percussion fill in the framework. As the main break takes shape the lead line rises, elevating mood and anticipation, taking with it sweeping effects which perfectly transfer energy into a tense build and thumping finale.

The companion piece Enough' continues the progressive vibe of the release in equally impressive fashion. Once again backed by a tough, driving foundation, it's a wave of phasing atmospheres and buoyant arps which take centrestage across the first act. Energetic and tense, they chart a course to spine tingling moments as sweeping noise provides a bridge into the main break. Adding a touch of emotion, the centrepiece delights with its icy cascades and devilish effects making for a spine-tingling moment, as the groove drops for a charged conclusion. It rounds out a stunning two track offering from Agustin Pietrocola, who makes an excellent Dopamine White debut.
