Nosh & SJ – Unicorn [Clinique Recordings]

Nosh & SJ make their Clinique Recordings debut this week with 'Unicorn'. Hailing from Mumbai, the Indian duo are fresh off releases on Dopamine Music and Groove 9 Records. It's been nothing but forward progress since the duo began collaborating in 2013 and now they make another get addition to their discography with 'Unicorn' alongside remixes from Hot TuneiK and Sergei Spatz.

Staying true to their progressive house roots, Nosh & SJ explore warm grooves and lush melodies on 'Unicorn'. It's chugging groove is an old school throwback, bouncing along with a joyous exuberance as tranquil arps and flowing percussion add momentous charm. It's dreamy qualities are further accentuated in the main break, lifting the mood a notch higher before a smooth build ignites a tepid rush and purring finale.

Both remixes have turned out wonderfully with one of Mexico's finest leading the way in Hot TuneiK. The Hookah Records boss is renowned for his warm, immaculately sculpted grooves and he's carved out another beauty here. Smooth and organic, it's a seamless ten minute journey into hypnotic motifs and wispy atmospherics. Definitely one you'll want to keep on repeat and drift off into a meditative state.

The release concludes with Sergi Spatz delivering a mix with bit more heat, nicely complementing the previous two versions. The tempo shifts up a touch and it's bulbous groove is full of powerful undulation. A tight rhythmic core makes it ideal dance floor material while the swing heavy percussion just adds to its hypnotic allure. A wonderful interpretation from Sergei which rounds out a strong release from Clinique Recordings yet again. Don't miss it.
