The latest release from Brilliant Cut Media finds label boss Diamond Dealer back in the spotlight with a new single. The South African's penchant for crafting contemporary electronic music has seen him land releases on John Digweed's Bedrock Records and Offering Recordings. Also a prominent figure in his country's nightlife, Diamond Dealer has headlined events with Black Coffee, Culoe de Song, DJ Kent and more top international talents. Now returning to his comfortable home of Brilliant Cut Media, Diamond Dealer presents his latest single 'Lagom'.

For those that follow the South African artist you know he has an uncanny knack for blending timeless sensibilities with percussive, afro inspired motifs. It's this unique cross pollination that makes him such an intriguing producer and 'Lagom' might be some of this most well received work to date, having already garnered support from Adriatique, Agoria, Ame, Danny Tenaglia, John Digweed and Maceo Plex. Backed by a tight punchy groove, it’s layers of organic drums and astral arps make for an energetic first act. It ultimately leads to the introduction of a vibrant tonal cluster as hopeful pads descend over the framework. Void of any significant break this is a composition fuelled by rhythm and groove, as it's melodic concepts elegantly rise while timely drum fills and subtle shifts add just the right amount of tension and drama. Classy in execution and set to stand the test of time, it's no wonder some of the world's largest DJs have already chimed in with support. Highly Recommended.
