Manual Music showcases the second edition of remixes for Paul Hazendonk’s critically acclaimed ‘Signature’ series. Released over the course of the last calendar year the series found the Dutch artist and Manual Music boss presenting six new originals across three EPs. Released in June, the first set of remixes found Arina Mur, fran&co and Kamilo Sanclemente all delivering unique and inspired renditions. Now Paul selects three more of his favourite artists in Jamie Stevens, Peter Makto & Gregory S and KAMADEV to provide the second installment.

The release begins with Jamie Stevens providing the lone interpretation of ‘Every Moment Matters’. Fresh off an EP for John Digweed’s Bedrock Records, the Australian artist also lays claim to releases on All Day I Dream, Lost & Found, microCastle and Replug. Now returning to Manual Music, Jamie provides an inspired take on ‘Every Moment Matters’ to kick the release off. There's always a unique energy in Jamie's productions and that sentiment holds true here once again. Quite joyous sounding, it's a groovy jaunt into playful melodies and layers of exotic percussion. Building subtlety and excelling on rhythm and soul, this is very much inline with what progressive music tastemaker Guy J has been playing of late and should fair well with even the genre's most discerning fans.

Next up and fresh off a release for Beatfreak Limited, Truesounds label bosses Peter Makto & Gregory S provide the lone interpretation of 'Treffen'. The Hungarian duo take a departure from the original with a deeper rendition that exudes warmth, musicality and tasteful execution throughout. Quite timeless, this is a thought provoking piece, from it’s nostalgic chord changes, to jangly hooks and detailed percussion, you want to delve deeper into it’s soulful charm and that’s always a great thing.

The release concludes with recent Manual Music signee KAMADEV who provides a lovely interpretation of 'Derelicte'. Based in Miami, the US artist made his debut on the Dutch imprint in August with a contribution to the labels 'Explorations' collection. Now returning for his first remix, KAMADEV proves he's a name to watch with an emotive take on 'Derelicte'. Delicate and spacey in equal measure, it's tasteful arps, buzzing tonal design and percussive splashes unite for a uniquely uplifting slice of melodic house. Boasting a brilliant narrative, the second act melts down to a tension filled break for perhaps the biggest moment on the release, perfectly setting up a fluid finale. It rounds out three diverse interpretations, furthering Manual Music's borderless ethos and perhaps more so that of it's label boss Paul Hazendonk. Highly recommended.
