Ziger – Still Here [Eat My Hat Music]

The latest release from Eat My Hat Music finds label boss Ziger back in the spotlight with a new single. The Greek artist got the year underway with a well-received remix of Juan Deminicis for Clubsonica Records before collaborating with Spanish star D-Formation on the powerful 'Purge'. The summer season has been highlighted by a return to ICONYC with the chart smash 'Control', while a remix of Basil O'Glue's 'Sycophants' followed shortly thereafter for Eat My Hat'. Now with the demand for new original material rising Ziger presents his new single 'Still Here' alongside remixes from Basil O'Glue and Mind Conspiracy.

Beginning with the Original Mix, Ziger once again crafts a peak time progressive banger that's bound for club and chart success. Punchy beats, hypnotic arps and striking chord stabs begin the eight-minute journey. Senses heighten as percussion fires, while wavy overlays fade in and out of coherence as the main break approaches. Concise and impactful, the centrepiece serves to release tension and reset the groove, perfectly preluding a euphoric, hands in the air finale.

Returning to the label and providing the first interpretation of 'Still Here' is Basil O'Glue. The Greek artist and Saturate Audio label boss made his Eat My Hat debut in July of this year with the 'Sycophants' single. Remixed by Ziger in fine fashion, Basil now returns the favour with a powerful rendition of 'Still Here'. With a veteran's savvy, the Greek artist takes a cue from the original, deconstructing the main themes over rugged kicks and rippling bass tones. Dark and spacey, effects come in flashes, adding dynamic moments while waves of percussion drive momentum into the break. Undeniably futuristic, the centrepiece proves to be a high point, adding cinematic flair and putting your pleasure centres on alert, before effortlessly segueing into a glacial finale.

The second and final interpretation of 'Still Here' is provided by Mind Conspiracy who returns to the label for his second appearance. Having remixed Celene's 'Singing Garden' for Eat My Hat in March of this year, the Greek artist now brings his peak time sound to 'Still Here'. Setting the piece in motion is a bed of tough beats and crunchy bass tones. Spastic effects bend the narrative early as percussive flurries and fragmented arps flow through the framework. Increasingly frantic, the first act builds a palpable tension through additional effects and elastic synths, before the main break resets the mood for a storming third act. An inspired remix from Mind Conspiracy which caps off an excellent return to Eat My Hat for label boss Ziger. Don't miss it.
