Volkan Erman & Hypnotic Progressions – Endless Win (Balkan Connection)

Balkan Connection returns this week with a brand new single from Volkan Erman & Hypnotic Progressions. The frequent studio partners are making their debut on the Serbian imprint which follows a strong single for John Johnson's ICONYC label, released in February of this year. Now they make their much anticipated Balkan Connection debut with 'Endless Win' alongside remixes from Matter and Andrea Cassino.

In previous efforts the duo have always presented a smooth progressive flow in their productions and 'Endless Win' showcases this to a T. Deep and enchanting from the outset the piece moves through harmonic phrases and intricate design with ease. A strong rhythmic core and powerful drums converge, creating a strong club vibe before the main break ensues. Sonic decay and an endless haze of atmospheric bliss lead out of the second act, creating a warm rush and wondrous third act finale.

The first interpretation comes from progressive house favourite Matter who is making his 15th appearance on the label. The Australian artist is fresh off an incredible remix for Praveen Achary's Juicebox Music where he worked his magic on SEQU3l's 'Timelapse'. His smooth, hypnotic yet infinitely energetic style is perfect for 'Endless Win' and the results certainly show that. The shimmering beauty of the original gets well translated but a warm foundation and emotive chord changes make it all the more impactful. The percussion is tailored to perfection, beautifully detailed with a vibrant energy and playful bounce, but it's a set of soaring synths which really open the track up. Unabashedly grandiose, a touch filmic and glorious in delivery, there are quite a few amazing moments locked in this one. Great remix from Matter.

The second and final interpretation of 'Endless Win' is provided by Andrea Cassino who is making his fourth appearance on the label. Fresh off his excellent 'Divine' EP for Proton Music the Italian artist and Hernan Cattaneo favourite delivers another gorgeous production here. Noted for his smooth, seamless creations, Andrea certainly lives up to that billing with a mix built around flowing lines and enchanting motifs. Dubby rhythms immediately get your interest peaked and sleek storyboarding carries you on a gorgeous nine minute journey. A playful lead theme bounces off a mild acid line, leading into the break while some subtle modulation delivers a touch of tasteful tension. A gorgeous mix from Andrea and a super release from Balkan Connection once again. Don't miss it.
