Releases Various Artists – ProgNoesis, Vol. 3 [Movement Recordings] By Release Promo Posted on 20th December 2022 9 min read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin Tash's Movement Recordings caps off 2022 by unveiling the third installment of their 'ProgNoesis' series. Landing in December of 2020, the inaugural edition of 'ProgNoesis' featured an amalgamation of progressive house and melodic techno, with a cohesive blend of both new and established artists delivering genre-defying tracks. The success of the first volume paved the way for edition number two which landed a year later amidst praise from Danny Tenaglia, John OO Fleming, Mariano Mellino, Mind Against and more. Now becoming an annual tradition, Movement Recordings presents the third installment of 'ProgNoesis' featuring new music from Tash, Chris Cargo, Govinda, Reig (FR) and Orlanne, Varun Fernandes and Chris Drifter. Selection one 'Ego' comes from Movement Recordings boss Tash who has had another amazing year. The last twelve months has seen Tash prosper and elevate himself further, beginning with a joint single alongside Serbian artist Circle of Life, a project which highlighted a great summer season for the veteran producer. Also collaborating with Finnish artist Movement Machina, the duo delivered the Nick Warren supported 'Odyssey' in November to the delight of progressive music fans. Now, ending the year in style, Tash returns to his solo ways with the groovy sounds of 'Ego'. Selection two finds Chris Cargo making his label debut with 'Ascension'. Forever etched in progressive music lore for his releases on Choo Choo and Renaissance, Irish artist Chris Cargo has maintained a position at the forefront of the scene. The last five years has seen Chris modernize his sound and in turn land projects via Beat Boutique, Flow Vinyl, Juicebox Music, Mango Alley and his own If You Wait imprint. Now, fresh off a three-track showcase for label affiliate Movement Limited, Chris debuts on Movement Recordings with the hypnotic sounds of 'Ascension'. Returning to the label with selection three is Govinda. Hailing from Argentina, Pablo Francisco Retamero aka Govinda has been pushing his unique style of house and techno for over a decade. First as part of the Le Microkosmos duo which toured the globe playing at Creamfields with the likes of Boys Noize, Faithless, Simian Mobile Disco and Crystal Castles, to present day as he operates solo as Govinda with releases via Just Movement, The Purr and TRYBESof. Movement Recordings has also been a comfortable landing spot for Govinda, with four releases coming courtesy of the Greek imprint since making his debut with a contribution to the label's popular 'Technical Progress' series in 2017. Now, making a welcome return to the label, Govinda presents his latest studio creation 'Everything Happens'. Next up is Reig who returns to the label for his third appearance. Residing in Corsica, the French artist has been crafting a unique brand of melodic techno since first appearing in 2013. Releases on Aftertech Records, Steyoyoke and Traüm Schallplatten highlight his discography, while he remains a prominent figure in his country's nightlife, having performed alongside Agoria, N'to, Worakls, Etienne de Crécy and Simian Mobile Disco. 2019 saw Reig make his Movement Recordings debut with a remix of 'Hephaestus' by Cyprus stars Paul Angelo and Don Argento, while 2021 found Reig collaborating with fellow countryman Wielki for a contribution to the label's 'Exploring France' collection. Now, joining forces with newcomer Orlanne, Reig makes a return to Movement with 'Interruptor'. For selection five we travel to India where label debutante Varun Fernandes resides. First emerging in 2015, Varun has achieved measurable success over the last eight years. A well received debut for Jelly For The Babies' The Purr would lead to future projects via Beatfreak, BCSA and Jerome Isma's JEE Productions. Now, following a remix of progressive house star Kamilo Sanclemente, Varun brings his deep percussion-laden grooves to Movement Recordings with 'Sirens'. The release concludes with Chris Drifter returning to the label for his seventh appearance. Based in Hungary, Chris has been a fixture of the progressive house underground for the better part of two decades. His club friendly sound has received support from the world's top DJs while also finding a home on BC2, Soundteller Records, Stellar Fountain and his own SoulArt Recordings imprint. A relationship with Movement Recordings was established in 2010 with the 'Drifting Diamonds' EP, a release that would pave the way for five originals and two remixes over the next five years. Now rekindling a relationship with the label, Chris returns with the nostalgic sounds of 'Numana'.
