The 42nd release on Clubsonica Records finds the label showcasing its first ever MMW Sampler. Miami Music Week has long been one of our industry's biggest and most important annual conferences. Since its inception over 30 years ago, the weeklong event has been a testing ground for some of the summer season's most sought after records. For its inaugural edition of the sampler Clubsonica invites Kamilo Sanclemente and Mauro Aguirre, Ethereal Mist, Stan Kolev, Matan Caspi and Gorkiz.

The release begins by welcoming Kamilo Sanclemente and Mauro Aguirre back to the label. The Colombian duo delivered the amazing 'Oceans of Storms' as part of Kamilo's chart topping 'Sea of Tranquility' EP from October of 2017. Now coming together for their second collaboration the duo present 'Hera' to start the collection off. Deep and dark at the outset, it's mysterious moods are intriguing, leading to the introduction of a vocal narrative. Operating at a spiritual level its distinctive phrases burrow into your mind, before a wonky lead theme shifts the storyboard into an atmospheric finale.

Making his third appearance on the label is Ethereal Mist. The Colombian artist has been a fixture of his countries progressive house scene since 2012. Having supplied a remix of 'Ambivalent' by Rick Pier O'Neil in March of last year, Ethereal Mist now presents his first production of 2018 entitled 'Last Goodbye'. On a backbone of chunky bass stabs sits a groovy framework and free flowing atmospherics. Enchanting vocal motifs highlight the main break as sweeping effects build tension towards a light crescendo and funky drop.

Stan Kolev is no stranger to progressive house fans. The Bulgarian artist has a rich history in the genre with releases on Armada, Blackhole, Spinnin' and his own Outta Limits imprint. A staple in Beatport's progressive house charts, Stan now makes his much anticipated Clubsonica debut with 'Molecules'. Rippling waves of bass and club friendly percussion set the piece in motion as buzzing synths initiate the full groove. Raspy stabs cut through the atmosphere before a catchy vocal hook adds additional swing to the framework. Stripping down into the break an organ-like theme shifts the mood before tantalizing electronics set the stage for a groovy finale.

The EP's fourth selection welcomes Matan Caspi back to the label for his second appearance. The Israeli artist has been a mainstay of the electronic music underground
for more than a decade. Releases on Global Underground, Deeperfect, Movement Recordings and Spinnin highlight his discography. Now fresh off his outstanding Clubsonica single 'Crosswinds' Matan returns to the label with the equally excellent 'Exodus'. It's funky drive can't be overstated with slabs of undulating bass carving out a momentous foundation. Gentle rhythmic shifts and timely tribal influences add a mystical air, most notably during the main break, perfectly setting up an elephant-like theme and drum heavy third act.

The release concludes with Gorkiz making his label debut. The Brazilian artist owns an extensive discography, highlighted by releases on Dear Deer, KDB and Us and Them Records. Now presenting one of his most sought after productions to date, Gorkiz closes the release out with 'Confusion'. Building in methodical fashion, rolling percussion and clustered claps meld perfectly with the devilish groove, building boundless energy with each successive loop. A muted lead theme adds just the right amount of tonal tension before coming to full fruition during an intensely epic main break. A storming composition from Gorkiz to round out a collection you'll no doubt be hearing a lot in a wide array of Miami Music Week sets and beyond.
