Hailing from the progressive house mecca of Argentina, Tomas began his musical journey at the tender age of 14. Born into a family of artists and inspired by the likes of Guy J, Jamie Stevens and Roy Rosenfeld, the Cordoba resident would find his footing quickly, signing his first project to Mango Alley’s ‘Augmented 013’ collection in March of 2024. Immediately regarded as one of his country’s top progressive house prospects, Tomas would go on to sign releases with Analog Jungs Constellation Music, Praveen Achary’s Juicebox Music and Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden, in turn earning support from genre tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Sébastien Léger, amongst others. With 2025 being highlighted by a well received debut on Alex O’Rion’s Solis Records, Tomas now adds Clubsonica to his resume with ‘Akosha | The Rest’, alongside remixes from Analog Jungs and Tonaco. Beginning with ‘Akosha’, Tomas showcases a groovy peaktime approach which sets the tone for the EP. Full of alluring textures and pyrotechnic design qualities, the Argentinean phenom expertly blends warm kick drums and voluptuous grooves, with clustered effects, rebounding rhythms and emerging melodies, for a captivating path into the break. Further revealing his creative attitude across the interlude, it’s an array of fragmented melodies which emerges to reveal a misty atmospheric backdrop, before getting washed away in a rush of beats and trippy motifs for an engaging finale. The companion piece ‘The Rest’ lands with a decidedly deeper approach, as Tomas flexes his melody crafting prowess across the seven minute piece. Balmy basslines provide the anchor for glowing pads and heartfelt sonics to highlight a dreamy top line, continually evolving as reprocessed effects and spirited percussion create a club energy that is both stirring and confident, before a cinematic break resets the proceedings for a tastefully twisted drop. Returning to the label with the lone interpretation of ‘Akosha’ are Analog Jungs. Made up of Argentinean artists Claudio Cornejo and Gustavo Ruarte, Analog Jungs have been revered figures in the progressive house underground for the better part of a decade, earning praise from genre tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. The duo's colourful, club friendly sound flourished as a result, finding a home on some of the genre's trendsetting imprints, such as Mango Alley, Meanwhile, Or Two Strangers, The Soundgarden and their own Constellation Music imprint, the latter of which operates as their primary home. Clubsonica has also been a landing spot for Analog Jungs, a label where the duo hold a long creative partnership dating back to 2020, and has since yielded three impressive projects. With 2025 getting underway with ‘Arcturiano Gold’, a track which is widely regarded as the duo’s best work to date, Analog Jungs return to Clubsonica with an inspired rendition of ‘Akosha’. Staying true to the themes from the original version, the Argentinean duo put their own unique stamp on the track with a spacious atmospheric approach, showcasing the main melody in a heartfelt yet tasteful fashion, before a buzzing finale ensues adding depth and character to the journey. The release concludes with Tonaco making his label debut with the lone interpretation of ‘The Rest’. Since first appearing in 2019 with an EP via Transensations, Brazilian artist Tonaco has enjoyed a steady rise within the global progressive house scene. Noted for his blend of powerful grooves, hypnotic rhythms and evocative melodies, the Tocantins resident has excelled at creating his own brand of progressive house, making him one of the most promising artists to emerge from Brazil across the last half decade. Juicebox Music, Mango Alley, Meanwhile, Vapour Recordings and WARPP have been vehicles for his creative swell in recent years, in turn earning support from progressive house tastemakers Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. With 2024 being highlighted by a thunderous remix of 'Cressida' by Chaum and Hobin Rude for Juicebox Music, a track which peaked at #2 in Beatport's Progressive House chart, Tonaco continues on an upwards trajectory into 2025, adding Clubsonica to his resume with a powerful rendition of ‘The Rest’. Taking a modern approach, the Brazilian artist lightens the framework with plush kick drums, warm rhythmic pulses and spacious percussion. Hypnotic and energetic in equal measure, it's an evolving effects narrative which delights across the break, as billowed tones deliver anticipation, before melting down into a low-end lovers finale to round out the release on a groovy note.
