The latest edition of our free download series welcomes Pongo for their first appearance. Based in Italy and made up of real-life brothers Giovanni and Daniele Bruni, Pongo first emerged in 2017 with a pair of EPs via Connected Frontline. Remixed by Aaaron and Artbat, and finding favour with a broad selection of electronic music tastemakers, the releases quickly established the duo’s neatly produced, club-centric sound. A string of projects for Booka Shade’s Blaufield Music soon followed, before the duo found a more permanent home on Marc Romboy’s long-standing Systematic imprint. In a year that has seen Pongo release seven original productions and a remix, the duo also took to re-imagining the 1979 disco-pop classic ‘Moskow Disko’ by Belgian band Telex. Currently in demand and being championed by the likes of Solomun, we’re happy to offer Pongo’s Re-touch as a free download. Enjoy.
