Stage Van H – Beyond Sleeping [Just Movement]

The latest release on Just Movement finds the label showcasing new interpretations of Stage Van H's 'Beyond Sleeping'. Originally released in August of 2016 as part of the labels 'Summer' Vol. 2 collection we now see Just Movement inviting Ewan Rill, NG, Nikko Mavridis and Stage himself to re-interpret the track.

First up Ewan Rill brings a unique approach taking the deep original into tighter, punchy territory with a sturdy groove and detailed percussion. The original elements bring a wonderful emotion all wrapped up in Ewan's esoteric sonic twist.

The second interpretation comes from NG who is making his much anticipated label debut. From its dreamy, percussive beginnings the piece moves through charming motifs and soft chord stabs before a solemn break shifts gears into a housier third act finale.

Next up the man himself Stage Van H provides a new interpretation of his own and what a beauty it is. Gorgeous atmospheres, intriguing vocal elements and warm, melodious grooves make for a lovely eight minute journey and a worthy complement to the already excellent original.

The release concludes with Nikko Mavridis making his third appearance on the label. The Greek artist last appeared on the Dutch imprint in August of 2016 with a remix of 'Reborn' by Jorge Dept. Nikko's sense of groove and space lends itself well to the original with a bouncy, dance floor rendition that closes the release out with a reflective, hopeful feeling.
