Releases Sapienta – After a Long Time / Retrospection [Stellar Fountain] By Release Promo Posted on 24th April 2020 6 min read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin The latest release from Stellar Fountain welcomes Sapienta to the label for his debut EP. This progressive talent first came to our attention with an EP on Star Drive Records earlier this year. Subsequent remixes for Techno Vinyls Records and Star Drive further solidified Sapienta as a newcomer to watch. Now making his first appearance on Stellar Fountain, Sapienta presents 'After a Long Time / Retrospection'. The hypnotic sounds of ‘After a Long Time’ lead the release off and show just how apt Sapienta is at creating groovy rhythmic concepts. It’s rolling cadence builds effortlessly across the first act, quickly becoming infectious as wispy atmospheres and tranquil arps carry into the main break. Spacey effects add a cosmic element to the proceedings, while warm overlays add just the right emotive touch as the beats drop for a smooth finale. The release concludes with ‘Retrospection’ which comes in a touch tougher and more rugged on the low end. As the narrative progresses the feel good factor comes up with effervescent splashes and buzzing synths stealing the air at opportune moments. An expansive main break brings a nostalgic mood before smoothly seguing into a more rhythmic final act. It rounds out two excellent creations from Sapienta who continues to be a newcomer to watch as 2020 moves forward. Highly recommended.
