Riding a wave of international recognition following the release of Elif's Medusa EP and MANTi's Call Out in September and October respectively, nascent Barcelona-based imprint Marginalia looks to continue its abundant run of top drawer output, with the unveiling of the label's third offering in as many months – Worth It. Out now, this latest release sees label boss Elif welcome Argentinian producer RADON for his Marginalia label debut, as he pulls out all the stops to unleash a remarkable three-track package together with featuring remixer, Auggië.

Releasing under his birth name Nicolas Parrado until now, RADON – whose productions on Argentinian imprint Amancay have received hefty support from the likes of John Digweed, Adriatique, Echonomist, Aera, Sobek and Facundo Mohrr, amongst others – opens the EP with the groove-inducing title track Worth It. A unique house cut characterised by hypnotic rhythms and trippy, old school hip hop vocal samples, the Argentine makes his intentions knows from the off as he lays down a mind-bending club record that captivates from the off. Road tested to impressive reception at the likes of Afrika, Jet, Banana, Crobar, Bahrein and Niceto, this latest dancefloor weapon already looks set to enter the record boxes of the industry's international touring elite over the weeks and months to come. We sat down with RADON to find out more.

Hello RADON, and a warm welcome to Progressive Astronaut. How are you today?

Hi everyone! I'm great! Thank you so much for having me.

How has 2023 been for you so far? Any highlights?

This year was an important one for me, as it's the year I introduce to my career my new alias RADON. So that is my most remarkable thing for me this year.

Congratulations on your upcoming EP release on Marginalia. What can fans expect when it drops on November 24?

Well, this is my first release with my new alias so I made a especial EP for the dancefloor. I'm really looking forward to sharing it with the world.

We understand RADON is a new alias for you? Can you tell us more?

As I said before, this new alias means a lot to me as it's a huge step in my career. I've been working on this alias for a while now and I've also been making a lot of music thinking about this one.

Why did you decide to debut the RADON project with this particular release?

I've been following Elif for a while now and I've always liked the way she works. So when I saw that she was going to launch her new label I immediately knew it was an excellent opportunity to release my EP with Marginalia.

How did you connect with Elif for this EP?

I sent her my music when I heard about Marginalia and she replied a few days later saying that my music was a good fit for them :)

What does Marginalia mean to you?

Well, Marginalia today means a lot to me as it was the label I chose to launch my new project RADON. I am very grateful to them for giving me the opportunity to be a part of it.

Have you been playing the EP out in your DJ sets? What's the reaction been like?

Yes, I've been using the EP tracks in the gigs for a while now and they work perfectly!

Where can we see you perform over the next few months?

For now, I only have 3 gigs here in Argentina in the month of December that will be announced in the next few days.

Do you have any goals or objectives you would like to achieve in the future as an artist?

Well, I'd really like to tour Europe next year and play with my friends from Amancay.

What else do you have coming up over the next few months? Any more exciting releases or projects you can share with us?

At the beginning of the year we launched Ficciones III by @amancay something super important for me and my friends, so don't miss it!

Anything you'd like to add before we wrap this up?

Just to thank Elif and all her team for letting me be part of marginalia and highlight the great work they do! And thanks to Progressive Astronaut for the space, I hope you enjoy my new EP and my future releases as RADON ! 🤟🏼
