Partenaire – Echoplex | Moment Zero [Auditen Music]

Dynacom's Auditen Music welcomes Partenaire back to the label for a new EP entitled 'Echoplex | Moment Zero'. With the backing of progressive music tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Guy J, the Argentinean artist has carved out a unique place in the genres underground. Releases on BCSA, Clubsonica Records and Soundteller Records sit prominently in his discography. With a remix for BC2 to begin 2020, Partenaire now presents his first original project of the year via Auditen Music.

Beginning with ‘Echoplex’, Partenaire sets the tone of the EP with a storyboard of pulsating grooves and electric motifs. Anchored by a warm, rolling foundation and crunchy rhythms, it’s an evolving atmospheric narrative which elevates mood across the first act. Haunting overlays and smooth chord changes add perfectly to its free flowing nature, before eventually melting down into an acidic break and perfectly setting up an energetic finale.

The companion piece ‘Moment Zero’ follows suit with spongy beats, rolling rhythms and machine gun style grooves. Built around a series of fragmented vocals and emotive swells, the first act is well suited for peak time play. Stripping down into the main break, haunting pads and hazy harmonics add further fuel to its emotive fire, before a tasteful build shifts energy into a purring final movement. It rounds out an excellent return to Auditen for Partenaire, who continues to deliver powerful progressive moods with some of his best ever work here. Highly recommended.
