Releases Pacco & Rudy B and Jaksa Pavicevic – Dubrovnik [Clubsonica Records] By Release Promo Posted on 19th September 2018 0 second read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin The latest release from Clubsonica Records finds the label showcasing a first time collaboration from Pacco and Rudy B and Jaksa Pavicevic. Hailing from Croatia, Pacco and Rudy B have found a home on Proton's Particles, A Must Have and their own Mallam imprint, where their unique take on progressive house has flourished. A decade long career makes them one of the genre's most storied duo's and their Clubsonica debut has been long overdue. Similarly, Jaksa Pavicevic also calls Croatia home where he runs his highly touted A Must Have imprint, as well as having a healthy artist discography highlighted by releases on Manual Music and Silk Music. Now coming together for the first time, Pacco, Rudy and Jaksa present their debut collaboration 'Dubrovnik' alongside remixes from EANP and Imran Khan. Paying homage to one of Croatia's most prominent destinations in 'Dubrovnik' the trio craft a timeless crossover cut for the ages. On a bed of tight, punchy kicks and crunchy electronics comes finely tuned percussion and sweeping noise. Billowing stabs, ghostly pads and a rising atmospheric resonance highlight the first act, before eventually stripping down into the main break. As the centrepiece takes shape the narrative evolves as looping vocals deliver a delicate tension before a primary 'You're loving' motif steals the air, perfectly setting up a classy drop. The first interpretation of 'Dubrovnik' is provided by Ezequiel Anile and Nicolas Petracca now known as EANP. The Argentinean duo have taken the progressive world by storm of late with releases on Just Movement, Movement Recordings and Magnitude Recordings. Steady support from Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren have made them one of the most in demand acts of the moment and now they make their Clubsonica debut with a superb rendition of 'Dubrovnik'. Tough beats, astral effects and spacey harmonics quickly fill the air as a chugging groove builds momentum. Deconstructed vocals add an effervescent charm before eventually stripping down into a cosmic second act. Uniquely constructed, the melodic narrative evolves with radiant chimes transferring energy into a driving finale. The second and final interpretation of 'Dubrovnik' is provided by Imran Khan who is also making his label debut. The UK based artist has found a home on some of progressive music's longest running imprints, including Proton's Particles and Stellar Fountain. Now fresh off an EP for the former, Imran makes his much anticipated Clubsonica debut with a deep take on 'Dubrovnik'. Warm subby tones and a sparse yet dazzling percussive complement set a tepid atmosphere early on. Soulful vibes soon follow, as impassioned vocal edits meld with a luminous, ever evolving atmospheric storyboard, elegantly transferring energy into glowing finale. A lovely remix from Imran which caps off what would have to be considered one of Clubsonica's most well rounded releases to date.
