The Kazakhstani artist is not only one of his country's most gifted producers but has also made his mark globally with releases via Flug Lab, Souksonic and The Purr. He now brings his organic sound back to Stellar Fountain with 'Luvway' alongside a remix from label boss Erich Von Kollar. Continuing to steal hearts with his lush organic sounds, Nursultan presents some of his best work to date across the three originals here. Beginning with the wistful qualities of 'Luvway' we're treated to chunky basslines, reflective pads and a wealth of clustered motifs. Simplicity is the key and the strength of the groove flourishes as a result, not to mention a well constructed break which does just enough to push the narrative forward. Meanwhile, 'Lakuraba' lowers the tempo a touch with a fuller groove and driving percussion setting the pace. Emotive chord changes marry wonderfully with indistinct vocal elements and emerging pads, before a tranquil interlude elevates mood further through glowing swells and muted pianos. Completing the three originals are the transcendent sounds of 'Aya'. Beautifully layered percussion and gorgeous harmonic phrasing immediately stand out on this one, making for a seven minute journey that's both mentally stimulating and highly danceable. Nature motifs drift throughout the piece, becoming more audible across two breaks, while adding depth and character leading into an impassioned finale. The lone interpretation of 'Luvway' finds label boss Erich Von Kollar returning to the label following 2021 remix projects for Consapevole Recordings and Star Dive Records. Opting for a more spacious approach, the dance floor sensibility rises with beautifully manicured percussion and reprocessed themes. Broken beats provide a smooth segue into the main break, where soulful strums add a tranquil air leading into a peacefully symphonic conclusion. A classy remix from Erich and a stunning three track showcase from Nursultan Kun, who returns to Stellar Fountain in fine style. Highly recommended.
