Nosh & SJ – Midnight Train/Dream Catcher [Dopamine Music]

The latest release from Nikko.Z's Dopamine Music welcomes Nosh and SJ to the label for their debut EP entitled 'Dream Catcher'. The Indian duo launched their production career in 2013 while also become regulars at some of Mumbai's trendiest nightclubs. Now fresh off a release on Zephyr Music, Nosh and SJ step up for their much anticipated debut EP on Dopamine Music.

Spread across two tracks it's the classic progressive sounds of 'Midnight Train' which lead the release off. Anchored by a chugging, old school groove, the duo works catchy motifs and emotive textures into the framework. Bouncy and vibrant in equal measure the first act is one of boundless energy, perfectly setting up a solemn break of cascading tones which are sure to light up your dance floor.

The title and showcase piece 'Dream Catcher' rounds out the EP with more pure progressive vibes. It's rippling low end is immediately impactful, carrying a big presence as jangly hooks and atmospheric overlays steal your heart. Upon stripping down into the main break a lone symphonic motif resonates, effortly shifting energy back into the rhythmic themes before a classy drop seals it's brilliance. Two excellent tracks from Nosh and SJ who are a duo you're going to be hearing a lot more about in the future.
