Madloch – Trial & Error 2 [One Of A Kind]

The latest release from One Of A Kind finds the label showcasing new interpretations of Madloch's 'Trial & Error'. Originally released in January of 2017 it found the Belgian artist and Sound Avenue label boss crafting a deep creation full of dulcet hooks, moody meanderings and spaced out electronics. Although written over two years ago it has stood the test of time incredibly well and now sees fresh updates from Silar and Savvas.

Silar made his One Of A Kind debut in January of this year with a stunning remix of 'Radian' by Ri Za. Also owning releases on Bullfinch, Inlab Recordings and MNL the Canadian artist now returns to One Of A Kind with a stellar rendition of 'Trial & Error'. Warm subby tones and a sparse yet dazzling complement of chimes set a tepid atmosphere early on. Soulful instrumentation soon follows, as impassioned strums intertwine with organic percussion, elegantly transferring energy into glowing finale.

The second and final interpretation of 'Trial & Error' is provided by Savvas who is making his label debut. The Greek born, Chicago based artist has found a home on Anjunadeep, Magician On Duty and Manjumasi, where his unique take on melodic techno has flourished. Now making his first appearance on One Of A Kind he takes 'Trial & Error' into deep and hypnotic territory. On a bed of delicate beats comes eerie electronics, spacey arps and detailed percussion. Luminous and ever-evolving, it's atmospheric storyboard is both hopeful and dramatic, creating waves of anticipation during a cinematic second act and exiting at precisely the right moment for a classy drop.

For a piece of music which stood out in 2017, both Silar and Savvas have now put their own unique stamp on it for 2018. Don't miss it.
