Lanvary – Sideralis [Balkan Connection]

The latest release from Balkan Connection finds Lanvary returning to the label for a brand new EP. The Moldovan duo first appeared on the Serbian imprint in August of 2017 with a remix of ‘Green Apple’ by Platunoff. Now following releases on Proton Music and Massive Harmony, Lanvary return to Balkan Connection for their first EP entitled ‘Sideralis’.

Beginning with the title track Lanvary crafts a timeless progressive chugger. Complete with a warm rolling groove, fresh electronics and a glowing atmospheric backdrop, there certainly is a lot to like. For as powerful as the first act is the break is perhaps the highlight as it melts down to a sheet of fuzzed out noise before beaming synths summon the groove for a strong finish.

The companion piece ‘Balearis’ comes in a touch deeper and warmer. Still abundant in drive it’s radiant atmospheres and intricate innerworkings dazzle the senses across it’s eight minute journey. Melodic clusters and indistinct vocals highlight the break, converging in a moment of sonic bliss, perfectly setting up a third act of playful chord stabs. Two stunning tracks from Lanvary which makes for a top notch release from Balkan Connection once again.
