As the Terasonic label boss, Brazilian artist Kaito Aman has been creating progressive minded music for the better part of a decade. Releases via Antrim's Or Two Strangers, Future Avenue, Just Movement and Transensations have been vehicles for his sound, while support from the underground's tastemakers continues with each successive release. Meanwhile, fellow countryman Gorkiz has earned the praise of progressive music icons Nick Warren and Guy J, while landing releases on Balkan Connection, Droid9 and Stellar Fountain. Now pairing up for a much anticipated collaborative effort, the duo ready the latest Terasonic offering 'Libélula', alongside remixes from Andres Moris and Caio Candido. Although often finding the creative space between progressive house and melodic house and techno, Kaito and Gorkiz lean towards the former on 'Libélula'. A deep, chunky groove serves to anchor the journey as haunting vocal choirs and symphonic swells fade to prominence. The melodic storyboard is quite sensational with musical clusters marrying beautifully with effervescent atmospheres and poignant chord changes, all eventually coming to full fruition during a glowing break and impassioned finale. Definitely one for those special dance floor moments. Making his label debut and providing the first interpretation is Andres Moris. The Argentinean artist has been touted as one of his country’s fastest rising progressive house talents. Although just over year into his production career, the Cordoba resident has already earned the support of Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, while landing releases via Antrim’s Or Two Strangers, 3rd Avenue, Balkan Connection, Droid9 and Nature Rec. Now following a collaborative remix with fellow countryman Fabri Lopez, Andres returns to his solo remixing ways with a gorgeous take on 'Libélula'. Opting for a greater melodic lean, Andre ups the tempo and crafts a timeless progressive cut that's perfect for a peak time dance floor. Joyous melodies juxtaposed with emotive chord chord changes fuel the eight minute journey, while a thumping groove and driving percussion continue to push momentum forward. Creating a moment of tension, the main break washes away the majority of the prominent themes in favour of a colourful atmospheric soundscape, expertly melting down for a moment of serenity as the beats drop for a groovy finish. The release concludes with Caio Candido also making his label debut and providing the second and final interpretation of 'Libélula'. Although just over a year into his production career the Brazilian artist has already showcased his music via Balkan Connection and Warung Recordings. Now following a contribution to the Pour Tous Art 'Enjoy Life' collection, the Curitiba resident debuts on Terasonic with a gorgeous take on 'Libélula'. The tempo shifts down for a slightly deeper affair but the musical components resonate just as brightly across the well crafted nine minute journey. Exotic percussive arrangements give it a slightly organic feel which complements the previous two versions nicely, while a dreamy break ultimately seals it's brilliance. A classy remix from Caio which caps off a very well rounded release for Terasonic, one which sees Kaito Aman and Gorkiz deliver a must have collaboration. Don't miss it.
