Releases Kabi (AR) – Aequilibrium [Soundteller Records] By Release Promo Posted on 25th April 2020 6 min read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin Deersky's Soundteller Records welcomes rising talent Kabi back to the label for his debut single ‘Aequilibrium’. The Argentinean artist first appeared on the Polish imprint in October of last year with a contribution to the label's popular 'ADE' 2019 Sampler. Having just one previous release via BQ Recordings, Kabi now embarks on the most anticipated project of his young career with his debut Soundsteller single alongside remixes from Fabri Lopez and Juan Sapia. Beginning with the original mix Kabi crafts a nostalgic progressive house sound. A shapely groove and bulbous beats sit at the foundation, while buoyant rhythms and intricate electronics dance above. Percussive details shine across the first act before a spacey arp and rising tensions make for a dramatic main break. A big moment in the track and one which ultimately sets up a more emotive finale. Continuing to deliver great material is Fabri Lopez who is fast becoming an in demand progressive house producer. Hernan Cattaneo continues to be a steadfast supporter with recent remixes for Clubsonica Records and Dopamine White both being excellent. Once again delivering a top remix, Fabri returns to Soundteller with an inspired take on 'Aequilibrium'. Taking a cue from the original, the Villa Mercedes resident creates a more rhythmic version filled with wonderful hooks and harmonics. Heavy percussion remains a strong theme with a gorgeous final break tipping the emotive scales just right. Rounding out the release and providing the second and final interpretation of ‘Aequilibrium’ is Juan Sapia who returns to the label for his third appearance following contributions to the fifth and sixth volumes of the 'Vibrant Vibeland' series. Sitting as one of Argentina's top up and coming talents Juan has continued to impress with key releases on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music, Guy Mantzur's Plattenbank Records and Antrim's Or Two Strangers. Now landing back on Soundteller, Juan turns in a groovy rendition of ‘Aequilibrium’. Smooth and free flowing from the outset, the relationship between the rhythmic and melodic elements is quite impressive. Progressively more emotive, it's smooth chord changes, long sweeps and wistful pads make for a gorgeous canopy of sound, while the main break brings the mood down and the tension up with a wicked build and incredibly groovy drop. A big time remix from Juan which caps off an excellent release for Soundteller, who present a nice blend of new and established talent here. Highly recommended.
