Releases JFR – Jira [Secret Feelings] By Release Promo Posted on 5 days ago 6 min read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin Following a brief hiatus, Secret Feelings returns with a new single from label boss JFR. Hailing from Argentina but currently calling Spain home, Juan Franco Rivero aka JFR has enjoyed a prolific year, one that has seen the Barcelona resident make his debut on All Day I Dream with the thematic sounds of 'Lasa'. It has been Secret Feelings which has been home to the majority of JFR's output across 2024 however, finding a cohesive balance between progressive and organic house, in turn racking up six original productions on the imprint, alongside a host of impressive remixes from DJ Ruby, Gux Jimenez, K Loveski, Mayro and Mazayr, amongst many others. Choosey in his remix projects, the Argentine's lone rework of the year landed in the heart of the summer season, a stylish rendition of 'What Were the Skies Like When You Were Young' by Sturge via Musique de Lune, an imprint where he acts as the label manager. Now, as 2024 winds to a close, JFR returns to his flagship imprint with the timeless sounds of 'Jira', alongside a remix from Sri Lankan progressive house phenom Noiyse Project. 'Jira' lands as the most recent offering following JFR's 'Lasa' which featured on All Day I Dream's Summer Sampler. It arrives just in time to brighten the fall club season with it's radiant positivity and groovy nature, traits which are always present in JFR's productions. Escalating chord stabs and shapeshifting melodies take centerstage across the piece, resulting in a buoyant club friendly vibe. What's most unique however is an underlying layer of percolating acid, not often used in this manner, it adds grit and texture along with an impressive array of effects to fully saturate your senses during the journey's apex. Sri Lankan phenom Noiyse Project makes his label debut with the lone remix of 'Jira', one which follows impressive offerings for Manual Music, Mango Alley and his own Till The Sunrise imprint. Known for his peak time approach to progressive house, the Hernan Cattaneo favourite goes big and bold here, with his trademark woody hits and capsizing basslines paving the way for a tasteful symphonic top line to escalate mood onwards to a thunderous drop. Aptly coined 'Groovy' Mix, it rounds an impressive return for Secret Feelings, where JFR and Noiyse Project deliver some of their finest work of the year. Highly recommended.
