Jelly For The Babies – Faded Memories [Inspired By Trees]

Inspired By Trees begins 2019 by welcoming Jelly For The Babies to the label for his debut single entitled 'Faded Memories'. The Serbian artist had a strong 2018, highlighted by releases on Balkan Connection, Low Pressings, Submarine Vibes and his own One Of A Kind and The Purr Music imprints. Jelly For The Babies' diverse style has made him a favourite amongst a broad range of top tier tastemakers including Hernan Cattaneo, Mark Knight and Eelke Kleijn. Now beginning the new year with one of this most anticipated singles to date, Jelly For The Babies debuts on Inspired By Trees alongside remixes from DAVI and Paege.

Known for sitting in a creative space between deep and progressive house, Jelly For The Babies crafts another cross pollinated gem in 'Faded Memories'. Entrancing soundscapes combined with a sub heavy groove and strong rhythmic elements set the piece in motion. Fading to prominence, tasteful chord stabs steal the air, allowing you to get lost in a myriad of cosmic vibrations. Warm shades and subtle tones resonate at the core of the piece, building slowly with charismatic charm, before icy pads highlight a seductive finale.

The first interpretation of 'Faded Memories' is provided by DAVI who also makes his label debut here. Widely regarded for his groovy organic sound, the Armenia born, Los Angeles based artist has carved out a unique place in the electronic underground. Releases on esteemed imprints such as Anjunadeep, Crosstown Rebels, Rebellion and his own DELYSID imprint have all been sensational, leading to both critical and commercial success. Now making a welcome debut on Inspired By Trees, DAVI's vivid imagination and keen sense of club dynamics opens 'Faded Memories' up to a wider range of dance floors. The ebb and flow of its energy is engaging, as a rolling full bodied groove, redemptive rhythms and redolent textures unite in perfect harmony, for a soulful journey into deep, percussive house.

The release concludes with Inspired By Trees boss Paege returning to the label and providing the final interpretation of 'Faded Memories'. Hailing from Baden, the Swiss artist has been passionate about electronic music for over two decades. One off gigs at clubs and festivals shaped his DJ career early on, before settling into a residency at Kiste Club in 2012. Now focusing more of his creative energy on Inspired By Trees, Paege looks to nurture the label and build a cohesive roster of artists bound by a love for music. Having made his production debut in July of last year with the '70/50 Chance' single, Paege now returns to his home imprint with a stunning rendition of 'Faded Memories' to round out the release in style. Following the ethos of the original we're welcomed with a warm rolling groove and grainy effects. A wispy atmospheric haze carries the piece as foreboding swells and hopeful pads sit in tasteful sonic divergence. Percussive clusters and boundless drive continue to build momentum, before ghostly pads descend over the framework for a haunting finale. A superb interpretation from Paege which caps off what is an auspicious beginning to 2019 for Inspired By Trees, who are most certainly a label to be following as the year takes shape.
