Nature Rec opens the month of December by welcoming Hassan Maroofi to the label for his debut single. Born in Iran but now calling Costa Rica home, Hassan Maroofi first emerged a short two years ago with a contribution to Buddhabrot's 'Constellations' collection. Immediately recognized for his nostalgic progressive sound, the San Jose resident would go on to showcase his music via 3rd Avenue, RYNTH and The Purr across the next two calendar years. Also highly regarded as a DJ, Hassan has been a fixture of Costa Rica's nightlife for well over a decade, performing alongside top international talents such as Guy Gerber, Hernan Cattaneo, Marco Carola, Satoshi Tomiie and more. Now, fresh off his latest vehicle for The Purr, a single co-produced alongside fellow countryman David Charpentier, Hassan makes his much anticipated Nature Rec debut with 'Hedayat', alongside a remix from Molac.

The original mix finds Hassan at his creative best with a production rich in emotion and musicality. Leaning more towards the progressive spectrum, it's a foundation of tough kick drums and chunky bass tones which provide the foundation for colourful synths, hopeful overlays and dulcet pianos to paint a gorgeous bucolic journey.

The release concludes with Molac making his label debut with the lone interpretation of 'Hedayat'. Based in Ecuador, Molac has carved out a unique sonic identity in the world of electronic music and organic house, resulting in a string of uniquely crafted records that present a resonant worldly sound. His resume is highlighted by releases via Amulanga, Peace Symphonies, Souksonic, Watergate and more, while the genre's trendsetters have been steadfast with support along the way. Continuing what has been his most prolific year to date, Molac now adds Nature Rec to his resume with a powerful take on 'Hedayat'. Already favoured by Blond:ish, Danny Tenaglia, Makebo, Modd, Raw Main, Shai T and more, Molac delivers a deeper, groovier and more club-effective version that still manages to make great use of the main musical themes during the break, ultimately closing the release out in grand fashion. Highly recommended.
