The latest release from Polyptych welcomes Grisha back to the label for a new single. The Russian artist last appeared on the Russian imprint in June of 2019 with a remix of Markey Lloyd's 'No Way Back. Also owning releases on Deepwibe Underground and Superordinate Music, Grisha now lands back on Polyptych with 'Adriatic' alongside remixes from Plus Thirty, Mario Puccio and Markey Lloyd.

Beginning with the Original Mix GRISHA explores the deep, hypnotic spectrum of progressive music. On a bed of tough beats and chunky bass stabs, comes finely tuned percussion and catchy arps. Smooth and spacey, it’s astral lines prove to be quite charming, leading perfectly into the second of two breaks which brings the greatest emotion response. Carefully constructed, it’s poignant tones quickly suck you in before a gentle rush segues into a smooth finale.

First up on the remixes Plus Thirty ups the tempo and drive into something decidedly more peak time. Punchy beats and a rugged low end bring copious amounts of energy while fiery percussion pushes momentum forward. Looping vocals sit off in the distance as interwoven arps add to it's hypnotic quality, before stripping down into the main break. Spanning well over a minute in length the centrepeice slowly melts to a atmospheric buzz as tension mounts and drums fire towards a massive, trance inducing drop.

The second interpretation of ‘Adriatic’ comes from Mario Puccio who translates the main themes over a reworked foundation. Deep and emotive, the first act builds with a veteran's savvy, working through charming effects and inviting textures. The Argentine’s perfectly manicured beats sound fabulous here, particularly coming out of a tranquil break and anchoring a smooth yet exciting finale.

The release concludes with Markey Lloyd returning to the label and providing the third and final interpretation of ‘Adriatic’. The Russian artist provides another gem here, taking the main themes from the original and utilizing them over a warm, harmonic groove. Emotive chord changes play a vital role in the narrative, playing off the pensive lines before melting down into a redolent break and astral finale. A stunning remix from Markey which caps off another excellent offering from Polyptych. Don’t miss it.
