Presenting their seventh release of the year, For Senses Records unveils the first ever collaborative EP from Gorkiz & Zairi Torrez. Hailing from Brazil and Bolivia respectively, both Gorkiz and Zairi have achieved measurable success in their respective solo careers. For Senses label boss Gorkiz lays claim to over a decades worth of production credits, bringing his progressive minded sound to long standing imprints such as Balkan Connection, Mango Alley and his own Transensations imprint. Meanwhile, La Pez native Zairi Torrez began his production career with a string of tech house releases via Subliminal's 'Senses' imprint, before going on to appear on Transensations and Underground Progressions with more of a progressive minded sound. Now joining forces for the first time, Gorkiz and Zairi present their 'I Feel Fine' EP, alongside a remix from GRIFE.

Spread across three tracks, it is the emotive sounds of the title selection which get the release underway. Here the duo work emotive melodic phrasing and charming effects over a fluid, key changing groove and layers of flickering percussion. Creamy keys dance across the stereo field, adding depth, space and colour, eventually coming to full fruition across a euphoric break and goosebump worthy finale. On 'Hear Comes The Wind', Gorkiz and Zairi go deeper with submerged bass lines and haunting atmospheres setting the stage for rolling rhythmic structures and eastern style motifs. It's transcendent vibe grows elegantly across a strong second movement, as vibrant tonal tension rises, creating a hazy resonance, before breaking off into a groove-centric conclusion. Rounding out the three originals are the thumping, progressive minded grooves of 'Nothing Will Be Impossible'. A ghostly vocal narrative captures your imagination early on, as wavy arps and striking percussion drive momentum into the break. Surreal and quirky in equal measure, the vocal continues to shapeshift as the interlude evolves, perfectly setting the stage for a finale of placid pads and nostalgic acid lines.

Making their label debut and presenting the lone interpretation of 'I Feel Fine' is GRIFE. Hailing from Brazil, Dan Grimm and Diego Feder make up the GRIFE production duo. Having emerged in 2019, the Curitiba residents found success quickly, signing their deep, organic take on house music to Nick Warren's The Soundgarden and Lee Burridge's TrybesOf. No stranger to the For Senses label family, GRIFE has racked up four appearances on parent label Transensations, recording three remixes and two originals since making their label debut in 2019. Now bringing their emotive sounds to For Senses, GRIFE turn in a sensational take on 'I Feel Fine'. Staying true to the main themes from the original, the duo makes great use of the lead motifs, crafting sweeping atmospheres and soaring strings to accompany them on a sun-drenched daytime dance floor journey. Sure to strike a chord with progressive and organic Djs alike, it rounds out a sensational collaborative project from Gorkiz & Zairi Torrez, an artist duo who have certainly found a great creative synergy in their work. Highly recommended.
