Following on from Kostya Outta's excellent 'Falcon', Afterglow welcomes Gai Barone back to the label for a new single. The Italian producer has had a remarkable forteen-year production career. Regarded by fans and contemporaries as a master melodic craftsman, Gai continues to deliver some of the most emotive music that the electronic underground has to offer. While Afterglow has long served as a primary landing spot for much of Gai's most highly regarded work, a recent partnership with British producer Luke Brancaccio has yielded chart topping releases via Bedrock, Lost & Found, Renaissance and Selador. Now, making a welcome return to Afterglow, Gai unveils his latest studio creation 'Boca'.

'Boca' further solidifies Gai's trandscent abilities as he once again crafts a memorable melodic journey. A dizzying dance floor slam powered by warm kick drums and hyperspace melodies. Rather than burst into a whirlwind or electronic symphony, Gai once again delivers tension and emotion through slow burn repetition and mindful melodic progression. Dodging expectations and emphasizing his musical charm, Gai paints bucolic scenes of electronic colour, as hypnagogic lines unveil a semi-conscious dreamland, before the Italian's creative attitude reveals itself during an interlude of misty atmospheric refrains.
