Releases Fernando Olaya – Kamaleon [Manual Music] By Release Promo Posted on 19th September 2018 0 second read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin Fernando Olaya makes his return to Manual Music with a new EP entitled ‘Kamaleon’. The Colombian artist first appeared on the Dutch imprint in December of 2014 with a contribution to the label’s Manualism 8.0 collection. 2018 has been Fernando’s most prolific year yet and now following releases on label subsidiaries MNL and Magnitude he returns to Manual Music with a new two track EP. The title track showcases Fernando’s penchant for hybrid creations. Drawing on progressive and techno influences he creates a piece that’s full of dance floor appeal. Frantic and fiery, it’s melodic storyboard quickly captures your imagination. Aquatic designs coupled with crunchy rhythms and a romping groove give it plenty of momentum, but It’s the break which ultimately seals it’s enormity. Playing out over one minute, it’s bursts of melodic tension are met with a frenzied build and stomping drop. Yep this one’s big. The companion piece ‘Fairies and Goblins’ continues the crunchy, melodic ethos of the EP quite nicely. Similar in rhythm and design it’s soaring synth elements and percussive flurries set it apart, once again making for a highly memorable centrepiece that is sure to bring the house down. In a year that has showcased some of Fernando’s best ever work these would have to be considered at two of the Colombian’s finest yet. Highly recommended.
