Ewan Rill – Kupol Remixes [Clinique Recordings]

The latest release on Clinique Recordings finds the label showcasing new interpretations of Ewan Rill's 'Kupol' EP. Originally released in March of 2016 it found the Russian artist at his best with two productions which crossed the boundaries of techno and progressive house. Now we see Clinique inviting the currently hot Paul Hamilton and Yuriy From Russia to reinvent the tracks for 2017.

First up is Paul Hamilton who reworks 'Here The Place' in his own inimitable style. The Original mix was one of Ewan's most techno oriented productions and Paul has put a more progressive spin on it. The Maltese born, Dubai based producer generally goes big but there's a subversive, hypnotic quality to this one which is really nice. Make no mistake it still packs a punch but with a more modern and slightly meditative approach. Superb remix from Paul.

The release concludes with Yuriy From Russia returning to the label following a strong single for Paul Oakenfold's Perfecto Black imprint last week. Hailing from Russia (as you might expect) but now residing in the USA, Yuriy takes the more progressive minded track from the EP 'Kupol' and puts his own peak time spin on it. Warm textures and luminous pads hover over the driving the groove making for an epic feel but is the indistinct vocals which really add a great mystical vibe. Lovely interpretation from Yuriy and a solid remix pack from Clinique recordings. Don't miss it.
