Releases Decent Groove – Echoes [Inspired By Trees] By Release Promo Posted on 2nd July 2019 0 second read 0 1 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin Inspired By Trees returns by welcoming Decent Groove to the label for their debut single. Hailing from Lucerne, Switzerland, Lukas and Michael make up the Decent Groove production duo. Having previously worked on solo projects the Swiss duo found they shared a like minded passion for similar sounds and ideas, ultimately leading them to unite and begin working on music together. Now embarking on their first collaborative project, Decent Groove present 'Echoes' alongside remixes from Donny Carr and Juzz. Beginning with the original mix you get a sense this is the beginning of a fruitful partnership. It's deep, pulsating groove is perfectly contoured, adorned with percussive flurries, organic designs and subtle shades and tones. Ghostly vocal fragments add a mystical charm before perfectly segueing into the main break. Quirky yet emotive, muted beats eventually dissipate for a bridge of esoteric themes, perfectly setting the stage for a smooth finale. The first interpretation of 'Echoes' is provided by Donny Carr who also makes his label debut. Born in Sacramento, California but now based in Salt Lake City, Utah, the American artist lays claim to an impressive discography highlighted by releases on Manual Music's MNL division and Mango Alley. Now following a remix for Jelly For The Babies' 'One Of A Kind', Donny lands on Inspired By Trees with a deeper take on 'Echoes'. Exuding warmth, atmosphere and rich design, the American's unique sonic blueprint carries you on an ever evolving eight minute journey. Drawing on the sensibilities from the original while adding distinct tonal themes, ethereal motifs and a flair for the dramatic, Donny makes this a great complement to the original while opening it up to a broader range of DJs. The release concludes with Juzz making his label debut and providing the second and final interpretation of 'Echoes''. The Swiss artist has found a home on Berberis, DPE and Inborn Records, where his unique take on all things deep and minimal has flourished. Now following a well received artist EP for 4 Quarters Music, the Zurich resident debuts on Inspired By Trees with a driving take on 'Echoes''. Beginning with punchy beats it's the warmth and fluidity of the groove which becomes instantly compelling. Perfectly contoured and full of great character, it anchors what is a pulsating, percussive and highly evocative slice of deep techno. In deconstructing the main elements Juzz has expertly added astral electronics and timely vocal edits, for what results in a dynamic, vibrant and timeless piece of music which is under constant evolution. It caps off an auspicious debut for Decent Groove, a duo who you will most certainly be hearing a lot more about in the future.
