E.F.G. – Sound of Silience [Stellar Fountain]

Following on from the success of the Miraculum 'Constellation' remixes, Stellar Fountain welcomes E.F.G. back to the label for a new EP. As a long running Stellar Fountain artist, Polish producer Oleg Szyszkin aka E.F.G has delivered four original projects since making his label debut in 2015, the most recent of which was last years 'Temple'. Also finding a home on Addictive Sounds, BCSA, Electronic Tree and Proton's Particles, E.F.G. now makes a welcome return to Stellar Fountain with 'Sound of Silience', alongside remixes from Jakhira and St. Ego.

'Sound of Silience' leads the release off and brings a fresh approach to organic house. Tight, punchy and energetic; it's vibrant synth work and nostalgic overlays bring a cool combination of tension and emotion leading into the break. Here E.F.G. showcases his melodic prowess with soulful instrumentation, gated gull samples and sweeping effects all combining for what should be a great dance floor moment, before smoothly segueing into a groovy melodic finale. Meanwhile, 'Gemidis' continues the emotional lean of the EP with plush chord stabs and buoyant tones cleverly coaxing atop a sturdy organic framework. The break is one of hope and optimism, as E.F.G. brings a trance-inspired mood to the forefront, nicely setup by a nature-centric backdrop and airy pads, ultimately making for a perfect day or morning dancefloor selection.

First up on the remixes is Jakhira who makes his label debut with a gorgeous take on 'Sound of Silience'. The British-born, Belgium based artist comes off strong releases for Cigarette Music, Nordic Voyage and A Soul On Board with more of a traditional organic approach here. Exotic drum arrangements and tasteful use of the secondary themes make for a smooth and meditative journey, while the main break stays true the original with the primary lead getting complemented with balmy synth phrasing and heavenly vocal pads for a gorgeous finale.

The release concludes with Stellar Fountain stalwart St. Ego delivering the second and final interpretation of 'Sound of Silience'. The St. Petersburg resident is making his fourth appearance on the Hungarian imprint, which follows on from releases for 3rd Avenue, Massive Harmony and Nordic Voyage. St. Ego's 'Sound of Silience' rendition brings more of a whimsical tone to the track, with a gated, panoramic feel to many of the parts, while a grandiose-style break provides the ultimate blend of bucolic colour to close the release out on a heartfelt note.
