Daniel Glover makes his Stellar Fountain debut this week with ‘Lostalgia’. The UK artist has been a fixture of the progressive underground since 2015 when he made his debut on Nicholas Van Orton’s Balkan Connection South America. Now having built a healthy discography highlighted by releases on Baroque Records and Soundteller Records, Daniel presents his debut EP for Stellar Fountain alongside remixes from Tech D and Shannon Davin.

The title track ‘Lostalgia’ makes for a great lead piece with it’s enchanting melodic concepts and warm groovy foundation. There’s a wonderful pulse running through the entire track with airy harmonics and indistinct vocal vocal pads converging for moments of textural bliss. Several short breaks complement the main one quite nicely, keeping the flow exciting yet still fluid. Definitely a track that would not sound out of place in a Guy J set. The companion piece ‘Neverlasting’ sticks to a similar sonic ethos with it’s warm, rhythmic feel. A series of buzzing stabs and percussive flurries mark the tracks high point, coming in just after a moderately tense yet still emotive break.

Tech D provides the first remix of ‘Lostalgia’ giving it a bigger vibe while keeping the warmth and feel of the original intact. A tight arp combined with a bouncy lead theme makes for a hugely energetic first act, only to go even bigger during the main break with clusters of drums and white noise building to a massive apex and suitably large drop. Huge remix from Tech D.

The release concludes with Shannon Davin returning to he label for his second appearance following strong outings on PHW Elements and Qilla Records. The Sri Lankan producer is one of his country's top progressive house prospects with support from Hernan Cattaneo becoming a regular occurrence. Here he closes the release out with a trippy take on ‘Lostalgia’. There’s an introspective, almost brooding vibe to this which is quite fascinating. Conveyed through a quirky arp and a cinematic backdrop it makes for a great complement to the more euphoric versions which precede it. A heady production from Shannon who continues to impress with creative remix projects. It rounds out a pretty massive release for Stellar Fountain which should find its way into the sets of a wide assortment of progressive DJs. Highly Recommended.
