Cream & Deep Fog – Iridium Part II [Stellar Fountain]

Cream & Deep Fog's celebrated 'Iridium' sees it's highly anticipated second set of remixes courtesy of Stellar Fountain. Originally released in October of last year it found the Polish duo crafting a subtle yet highly emotive creation which saw stunning remixes from Erdi Irmak and Pacco & Rudy B. Now seeing further life the label calls upon Plus Thirty and Ivan Sandhas to reinvent the track for 2019.

Leading things off is Plus Thirty who make their second appearance on the label. The Greek duo debuted on Stellar Fountain in January of 2016 with a remix of 'Selcouth' by Nahue Juarez & N'Pot. Having since appeared on ICONYC, Transpecta and Stellar Fountain sub label Astrowave, the duo now return to the Hungarian imprint with a groovy interpretation of 'Iridium'. There are a lot of lovely elements here, from tranquil tonal themes to ghostly pads and a full, warm groove with just the right amount of chunky roll. A brief break takes things further into astral territory with an emphasis on the vocal overlay and bubbly arp, both of which work incredibly well in creating a surreal vibe leading into a blissful final act.

The release concludes with Ivan Sandhas who is making his label debut. Born in the progressive house hotbed of Buenos Aires, the Argentinean artist began his career in March of 2017 with a contribution to ICONYC’s ‘Elements Ibiza’ collection. Also owning releases on Asymmetric Recordings, Balkan Connection, BCSA, Just Movement and Modern Agenda, Ivan now makes his debut on Stellar Fountain with a top remix of 'Iridium'. Known for his emotive style, Ivan stays true to that sensibility with a warm and deeply moving slice of progressive house. Timeless chord changes combined with gorgeous melodic clusters and some lovely organic drums make for a highly memorable eight minute journey, which knows exactly how far to push the emotional narrative without going overboard. An excellent interpretation from Ivan which rounds out a great remix edition for Stellar Fountain and Cream & Deep Fog. Don't miss it.
