Chris Drifter & Reelaux ft. Hidden Tigress – Daydreaming [SoulArt Recordings]

The latest release on SoulArt Recordings finds label boss Chris Drifter teaming up with Reelaux for a fresh collaboration. Hailing from Hungary the duo have enjoyed much success in their respective solo careers with a collective discography which includes releases on Baroque Records Movement Recordings and Stellar Fountain. Now pairing up for the first time, Chris and Reelaux present 'Daydreaming' alongside remixes from Antrim, Felipe Michan and Yuriy From Russia. 

Enlisting the vocal talents of 'Hidden Tigress' has resulted in an amazing original mix. Funky, playful and full of emotion it's a definite throwback to the old school days of progressive house. Soulful motifs and sparse instrumentation along with a lovely break, which showcases the vocal perfectly makes for a joyous seven minute journey. For the less vocally inclined Chris and Reelaux have also provided a dub version as well.

There are many remixes to choose from led by the amazing Antrim who makes his label debut here. The Argentinean artist and Or Two Strangers label boss goes deeper with a killer late night vibe. The vocals have been chopped and reprocessed to perfection resulting in something quite indistinct and modern with the focus lying heavily on Antrim's perfectly contoured grooves. 

Next up Filipe Michan also makes his label debut following releases for Balkan Connection South America and Clinique Recordings. The Argentinean artist complements the previous versions really well with a dubby progressive interpretation with great melodic moments. Tribal-infused drums give the mix a live feel but it's the symphonic motifs which shine brightest. Great remix from Filipe.

The third and final interpretation of 'Daydreaming' is provided by Yuriy From Russia who is making his first appearance on SoulArt. The Russian born now USA based artist remains one of the more prolific producers in the underground and is fresh off releases on Bonzai Progressive and MNL. Here he presents a smooth progressive rendition which does incorporate the main vocal but in a less overt manner. The beauty of the mix lies in its rhythmic flow; effortless and airy it closes the release out wonderfully. Another gorgeous release from SoulArt Recordings who are building a quality catalog as 2017 progresses.
