The latest release from Polyptych Limited welcomes Chris Drifter to the label for his debut single. Hailing from Hungary, Chris Drifter has been a part of the progressive house scene for well over two decades. As a DJ first, Chris would make his mark as a fixture of his country's nightlife, playing some of the trendiest venues with an uplifting club-effective approach. A well-received production debut in 2014 via Pacha Recordings would set the course for a decade-long run of timeless releases including projects for Bonzai Progressive, Hot Fingers, Movement Recordings and SoulArt Recordings, the latter of which he serves as a label A&R. In a year which has seen Chris already remix 8288's 'Believe', Chris now makes his Polyptych Limited debut with 'Levitation', alongside remixes from Leandro Murua, Adam Kaase, Omar Nickel and La_Fekecs.

For someone with a career as long as a Chris he has never wavered from his progressive house roots and he continues showcase that passion here on 'Levitation'. Nostalgic grooves, percolating acid lines and a light melodic top line create a perfect balance of muscle and beauty throughout the track. Ultimately it's a great sense of flow which wins you over though, effortlessly moving through two primary melodic themes, before a moderately twisted break resets the vibe for a powerful finish.

Also included on the release are an expansive collection of remixes beginning with Leandro Murua who puts his own progressive spin on the track. The Argentinean artist follows on from a remix for Paul Thomas' UV with a supremely uplifting version here. Playing nicely off the sensibilities of the original, the Cordoba resident adds a greater sense of melodic depth with denser atmospheres and a hazier and more modern feel to the journey, one which will certainly sound great on those morning dancefloors.

Next up is Adam Kaase who makes his label debut following releases for Another Life Music, Freegrant Music and Yomo Records. Always a quality remixer, Adam also provides a well-crafted melodic version with a closer lean into peak time territory with it's tougher beats, unrelenting drive and grinding key changing grooves. The main break offers a stripped down approach, where the beats stay locked but rhythm and percussion drop out of the mix, perfectly building tension towards a soaring, effects-laden finale.

Remix number three also sees a label debutant in Omar Nickel who arrives with BCSA, Dopamine White and Droid9 firmly attached to his discography. Looking to add a greater sense of space, the Texas resident focuses on the primary arp which plays off phasing atmospheres and a nice array of clattering percussion and a chugging, machine-gun style groove to create an energetic sense of cruising. The depth and variety of effects might be it's strongest suit though, very tastefully done and used at just the right moments to add a certain degree of trippiness without making the mix too dense.

The release concludes with newcomer La_Fekecs who is making his production debut here. Hailing from Budapest, the Hungarian artist makes a great first impression with a remix that draws on the early days of progressive house with it's old school vibes. Tempo shifts down a touch from the previous versions which is nice and in doing so creates a deeper mood, one which should not only give DJs even greater choice for which version to program into their sets, but closes the release out on a more relaxing note. Highly recommended.
