Noir – Eruption [Noir Music] Its been more than 2 years since I did an original release on my own label. Its been 9 months since I had an original NOIR release. I wanted some time without releases. Some time to breathe, to think and most importantly time to be creative and to experiment. I have picked 2 productions I felt sounded different to everything else out here. Eruption was already made in the fall 2017 and I have been road-testing it since ADE17 and changed it quite a lot over the 6 months period from when I thought it was finished to what it actually sounds like now. I wanted the track to be brutal like a volcano erupting but at the same time have beautiful and peaceful elements. Hence the breakdown lava sliding into the middle of the track before it all erupts again. I have spent many hours trying to make it sound raw and unpolished. Disruption is build around a super simple sequence loop I played by hand while jamming with new pluck sounds. As the sequence got layered and washed in effects it bec Read More
D-Nox & Beckers – Disorder [Jeudi Records] D-Nox & Beckers are back on JEUDI with their 2nd contribution to the label. Enough is said about these two well establish legends of the underground with wide spanning careers established since the 90s.Moreover we added another grand seigneur of the house and techno scene. The french wizard Sebastien Leger signed responsible for the remix duties. D-Nox & Beckers Disorder is maxing out the simple idea of one odd shifting arp motive rocking the whole track. Strange Days is a solo track of Frank Beckers. We were hooked by the psychodelic ambience of the tune at once. Beckers showing of his mastership of creating weird and trippy arp line tunes combined with undeniable dancability. Sebastien Leger remix of Disorder is playing creatively with the dominant main motive mangeling it straightening it and showing a beautiful new view on the original with a strong affection for the dance floor. A diversified collection of well experienced works we are very keen to present. ► YouTube Read More

Giorgia Angiuli & Lake Avalon – You Caress (Moonwalk Remix) [Stil Vor Talent] Composer and multi-instrumentalist Giorgia Angiuli helms SVT218 in her trademark vibrating manner, offering up a total of five tracks, with newcomer Sam Shure and seasoned duo Moonwalk in charge of the remixes. Colourful and vivid - two words that not only describe Giorgia’s appearance, but her overall performance and production style. The classically trained singer and producer is known for using an array of toy instruments to shape her sound, a versatility that makes its mark throughout the EP. Enlisting the talents of Einmusika and Katermukke alumnus Lake Avalon, the artists put together a captivating, string-heavy piece centered around a meandering bassline entitled You Caress. Moonwalk take on remix duties, morphing the track into an intense synth-heavy construction coiled around the soaring vocal. No Body No Pain dives into the dark corners of melodic Techno through a whirlwinding exploration full of dynamism, while Because I Like It blends grave synths with dreamy at Read More
Cid Inc. – Abyss [Replug] Beginning 2018 by remixing two of the industry's most revered talents in Nick Warren and Jerome Isma-Ae, Cid Inc now presents his first original project of the year. 'Abyss' is the hugely anticipated follow-up to the Finnish artist's chart topping progressive anthem 'Shifter'. A staple in the sets of Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren all throughout 2017, it sat comfortably as one of the genre's best by year's end. From stripped, punchy beginnings 'Abyss' retains the progressive techno ethos Cid Inc. was instrumental in creating almost a decade ago. Encased in a crisp rhythmic shell, warm bass swells and machine gun cadence drive the foundation. The storyboard evolves with delicate melodic lines and impassioned overlays, eventually melting down into a euphoric break. As the melodies blossom an intensely emotive crescendo is reached as a soulful wail summons a powerful final act. The companion piece 'From Within' finds Cid Inc. exploring dreamier textures and wistful sonic ta Read More
Anturage & Saccao – Dance In The Circle [Audiomatique] Anturage and Saccao rekindle their production partnership with a new release on Steve Bug’s Audiomatique. Both artists have built very strong reputations over the last years - Anturage being a production duo from St.Petersberg while Saccao has had a string of killer tracks released on labels including Suara, Toolroom and Global Underground. Here, the guys dive deep into techy, rolling tracks designed to heat up the club. Title track 'Dance In The Circle' is a powerful example - a growling, streamlined stormer that keeps building and building before the release comes. 'Seven Ways' is a little more laid back, but still finds inventive ways to ramp up the tension through expert use of an ethereal breakdown half way into the track. 'Phobia' is a shining example of how to craft a tech house bomb, every element perfectly weighted and placed, creating a whole that’s way more than the sum of its parts. ► YouTube: bit.ly/ProgressiveAstronautSubscribe ► Soundcloud: bit.ly Read More
Betoko & Rafael Cerato – Devil Feat. Liu Bei [BluFin] 'What the hell is going on here?', you ask yourself after a few bars listening to „Devil“ - the name says it all! With united forces, Betoko, Rafael Cerato and Liu Bei created a magical, fancy and touching Tech-House-piece, which succeeds in realizing the rare fusion of functional track and classical song literally weightlessly. The emotional singing of Liu Bei floats over a subtle synthy arpeggio, which astounds us by its unusual metric: It is partly in five-four meter and also transports something unearthy, supernatural. Dubmix and Instrumental certainly turn the energy screw towards club use, but also keeping the mystical atmosphere. And with „Abrazo“ finally comes a cool B-Track by the producer team Betoko & Rafael Cerato, reminding on 80s-synthpop highlights. The two guys have some more in common besides their cooperation: Both already released solo projects on Einmusika, Diynamic and Get Physical. Mexican born Betoko lives in London, where he also runs his l Read More
PREMIERE: Olivier Giacomotto – A1 [NM2] Halfway through 2017 I decided to divide my labels into 2 independent and sound defined music platforms. Noir Music has become the full-on techno label with a harder and more edgy sound. NM2 will be the label which explores the deeper and thinner lines between House, Techno and Leftfield. I am really proud to present this first DEFINED series release with productions by former Noir Music artists Olivier Giacomotto, John Monkman, Kiko and Jos & Eli whom all now fits the NM2 imprint and have given me the perfect music to help define the sound of NM2 and the difference between my 2 labels. It is super exciting to move NM2 into a new era of great releases and a more DEFINED sound. - Noir ► YouTube: bit.ly/ProgressiveAstronautSubscribe ► Soundcloud: bit.ly/ProgressiveAstronautSC ► Website: bit.ly/ProgressiveAstronautWEB ► Facebook: bit.ly/ProgressiveAstronautFB ► Twitter: bit.ly/ProgressiveAstronautTW ► Instagram: bit.ly/ProgressiveAstronautIG â– Read More
PREMIERE: AFFKT – Laberinto [Suara] “Fosc” is a track that arises from my fascination for Bugge Wesseltoft’s music. I really like his compositional work; the way he inserts darkness with flashing lights and bittersweet notes, Bugge is able to touch your heart and soul. I caught that inspiration but bringing it to my own ground, a more Techno sound. “Laberinto” is quite difficult to describe, it is a mishmash of influences in which everyone could perceive my sometimes passion for organic sounds. This cut was originally composed while improvising with the synthesizer and it is fully inspired by classic horror films. Both are very different from each other, at the same time are tracks that complement each other very well. There is an important balance between layering synths with more acoustic sounds. I have tried to build on this EP a 'glue' to stick sounds and feelings together. “Fosc” and “Laberinto” are slow-cooked compositions, music pieces stimulated by a personal maturation and evolutionary g Read More
Ryan Murgatroyd – iKalimba (Armonica Remix) [Get Physical] Get Physical returns with another excellent new remix package that finds Jonas Rathsman and Armonica tackle a spellbinding original by South African Ryan Murgatroyd. Murgatroyd is a producer with a discography than spans the last ten years and his new single here comes hot on the heels of ‘Something Said’ which proved a big hit for Get Physical with remixes from Super Flu and Ian Pooley. The package opens with a remix of ‘iKalimba’ from Jonas Rathsman, who initially emerged as a star with big hype from BBC Radio 1 in 2013. The Swede has since gone on to turn out plenty of essential dance floor moments that have topped Beatport charts and got plays from the likes of Damian Lazarus and Maceo Plex. His version of this intoxicating track is eight exquisite minutes of drifting chords and spine-tingling Kalimba sounds that speak to your spirit. Intimate and inviting, it’s a classy bit of deep house. The original is then handed to Armonica, the charismatic Italian duo from Read More
