I grew up listening to Giorgio Moroder’s vinyl and my love for electro and synth-pop were in my head since I was a baby. ‘Sweet dreams’ was released in 1983. I still remember the day I first heard this song being a child, I had no idea what exactly was going on inside my body, my brain, my feelings, but it was, and everytime still is, something extraordinary. Annie Lennox’s voice and expression, perfectly combined with the synths, coming all strong at the perfect moment, each of it, in the right frequency, and that fat kick pushing the power forward. This song is a complete masterpiece that lights my fire every single time, on repeat. Reflekt - Need To Feel Loved (Adam K & Soha Edit) Being involved in classical music during my childhood made me connect deeply with all the ambient pads, leads and beautiful harmonies from Moby’s music. Then, when I heard ‘Need to Feel Loved’ - released in 2005 - that was it. The perfect combo was all there, electronic beats and sounds, emotional atmosphere yet powerful, and a beautiful vocal all along. All in the right place and time to make magic happen every single time we listen to it. deadmau5 & Kaskade - I Remember 2008. These 2 master-artists don’t need an introduction. But Haley Gibby’s voice. My one year and a half older brother Gaston is the main reason why I became a musical artist. It was just the two of us having this electronic music taste, not our friends, so it really connected us. He used to bring me new stuff and one day he came and said, you should listen to this, listen to her voice, if I close my eyes it's you singing in the church, he laughs. (At that time I used to sing as a mezzo soprano, my voice was trained and sounded more angelical, a side from myself I haven’t shown much in public). Haley has been definitely an all time favorite electronic music vocalist. Kylie Minogue - Can't Get You Out Of My Head Of course. One hundred times, of course. Golden Boy & Miss Kittin - Rippin Kittin By that time I was a teenager, I already knew I had a deep connection with house, deep house, uk bass and breaks. I discovered Miss Kittin in 2003, at the same time I was listening to Laurent Garnier, Layo & Bushwacka, and so many masters. But this time I was old enough to listen to this music, finally, in the club. The whole musical experience has leveled up since then in my life. Satoshi Tomiie - Love In Traffic (feat. Kelli Ali) 2001. I was already going out with my brother to festivals and clubs to discover new music. We used to follow a few but Martin Garcia, Hernan Cattaneo and Carlos Alfonsín were a must. Martin introduced us to this master-piece at those times. Madonna - What It Feels Like For A Girl (Above & Beyond 12" Club Mix) 2001. Madonna + Above & Beyond. Just magic. Paul Oakenfold - Southern Sun (Official Video) ft. Carla Werner 2002. Still my favorite from Paul’s amazing compositions. Carla Werner makes such a masterful vocal performance. Moving fast from high to lower tones, perfectly executed and transmitted. The vocal production is also sounding so fresh and natural. Sian Evans - Hide U (Tinlicker Remix) An Original Song from 2011, beautifully remixed by Tinlicker in 2021. Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Can't Fight This Feeling (feat. Junior Caldera) 2010. Sophie Ellis-Bextor feels like a synonym to dance music songs. She and her discography is simply amazing. 'Calling My Name' is available now via AMITABHA: https://tinyurl.com/yka2mtyp
