Audio Junkies – Bissa [Beat Boutique]

Continuing a strong start to the new year DJ Zombi's Beat Boutique welcomes Audio Junkies to the label for a new single. Based in Tel Aviv, Audio Junkies have been crafting unique and inspiring electronic music since 2006. Appearances on Diynamic, Sincopat, Suara and Sudbeat highlight their discography, while they continue to travel the world showcasing their unique DJ skills. Now landing on Beat Boutique for their first release of 2020, Audio Junkies present their latest single 'Bissa' alongside a remix from Murat Uncuoglu.

From the opening bars of ‘Bissa’ you get an immediate sense of what a gorgeous creation this is. It’s warm, full bodied low end carries great character and contour, while buoyant drums and tranquil arps operate in organic space. As the narrative evolves airy atmospheres and haunting motifs drift through the framework before effortlessly segueing into a glowing break. Quite concise, it’s vibrant electronics and gaseous motifs sit in perfect sonic harmony, before a gentle rush segues into a final act of euphoric modulation. The beauty of those synth elements can't be overstated and appropriately a Synthappella Mix has been provided for the more adventurous DJs out there.

Rounding out the release and providing the lone interpretation of 'Bissa' is Murat Uncuoglu. The Turkish artist and Isolate label boss has been a fixture of the electronic underground for over two decades. Appearances on Afterlife, Innervisions and Multinotes highlight his discography, as he continues to travel the globe delighting fans with his fresh melodic approach. Always a consummate remixer, Murat now returns to Beat Boutique with an inspired take on 'Bissa'. Taking a cue from the original while adding a contemporary state of mind, the Turkish artist carves out a chunkier groove adorned with unique artifacts, exotic drums and fresh rhythmic themes. An ever evolving narrative keeps the eight minute running time quite lively and it's emotive disposition might it's most charming quality. Gorgeous work from Murat which caps off another on the money release from DJ Zombi's Beat Boutique. Highly recommended.
