ARTN – Blue Frog (Remixes) [Juicebox Music]

Praveen Achary's Juicebox Music opens the month of October by presenting new interpretations of 'Blue Frog' by ARTN. Released in August of last year 'Blue Frog' was the Lebanese born, Turkey based artist's Juicebox Music debut; a two-track showcase which found favour with Above & Beyond's Tony McGuinness, Ezequiel Arias, Alex O'Rion, Gai Barone, Navar and more. Now, looking to breathe new life into the tracks for the fall club season, Juicebox Music invites Eric Lune and foglight to re-imagine the EP in their own essence.

There are few artists within the progressive spectrum who capture emotion the way Eric Lune does, so to have him re-model 'Blue Frog', a track which conveys such a pure and nostalgic vibe makes perfect sense. Sometimes these producer/track combos look great on paper but the end result doesn't always meet expectations, this however is not the case here. The Aussie artist has truly mastered his craft and in turn delivers another goosebump induced slice of progressive house. Unabashedly epic and euphoric at points, but with just enough restraint and depth to really captivate the mind as well as your heart and feet. Play this one in the morning and send people home with a smile.

Rounding out the release is label debutant foglight who makes his Juicebox debut following solid outings for Mango Alley, MNL and One Of A Kind. Emerging in the progressive scene just a few short years ago, the Lebanese producer comes armed with a trance-oriented background and has continued to impress across 2023. It's no surprise that Guy J, Khen and Sebastien Leger have already sung praises of the Beirut resident, as he turns in a killer rendition of 'Lopos' here. Nicely refined with a mature, no-frills approach, foglight crafts a smooth and groovy journey into the depths of modern day hypno-prog; one which the true genre connoisseur's will certainly appreciate and come back for repeated listens.
