Continuing to build on his success, the Cordoba resident ended 2022 looking back on what was another banner year. Choosey in his projects across the twelve-month stretch, Antrim delivered some of the year's most memorable releases, beginning with the Abi Ferraresi vocal led piece ‘Seek the Sun’. Released courtesy of Or Two Strangers it set the course for his latest vehicle via Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music entitled ‘Stax’, before delivering one of the year's most exciting cover productions ‘You’re Not Alone’ featuring Paula OS. With 2023 getting underway with an EP for Brazil’s long standing Warung Recordings, Antrim now returns to his comfortable home of Or Two Strangers with ‘Risk | Suru’. Destined to be a highlight in Antrim’s discography, ‘Risk’ lands with a sizable thump, as the Cordoba resident opts for a funkier approach to great effect. Warm capsizing basslines and phasing sonics serve as the anchor for emotionally resonant hooks and muted pianos to work their magic leading into the main break. A sweeping experience all its own, the centrepiece flows through deconstructed vocals and wind-swept effects, as the primary theme breathes in all its glory, eventually giving way for waves of phasing noise and a groovy finale. Beneath the timeless vibes of ‘Risk’ lies the equally excellent ‘Suru’. Rounding out the release in style, Antrim maintains the groovy energy of its predecessor, with chunky well-carved basslines and panning percussive arrangements setting the course for luminous chord stabs and heartfelt overlays. Sitting at the heart of the journey is a rich textural break, one where Antrim builds anticipation through phasing vocals and percussive-rides, before reaching a tasteful peak and balmy finale. Operating at the peak of his creative powers, Antrim continues to impress with his latest Or Two Strangers offering.
