Antrim makes his debut on Fernando Ferreyra’s Dreamers this week with ‘Harmony of the Seas’. Hailing from Cordoba, the Argentinean artist and Or Two Strangers label boss has come into his own this year with a string of impressive releases coupled with support from Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. We’ve tipped him as one of the next big things to come out of the progressive movement and his debut on Dreamers should only add to that sentiment.

Beginning with the title track Antrim showcases his love for serene soundscapes and emotive melodies. Replete with positive vibes, its evocative power translates incredibly well as a warm, undulating groove and organic percussion invite you into its rhythmic core. It’s swaying, seaside narrative is ultimately what wins you over, particularly during a transcendent break, which will no doubt capture the imagination of all the dreamers out there. Further evidence of the shrinking gap between deep and progressive minded house this seems ideally suited to a broad range of melodic DJs so you’re no doubt going to be hearing it a lot.

The companion piece ‘White Heaven’ comes in a touch deeper but sonically quite in line with ethos of the release. Warm, fluid and highly emotive, it’s rising symphonic concepts are hard to resist and just when you think it might get a bit too grandiose the reins get pulled in for a charming break and subtle yet exhilarating build which rounds out the release on a high note. Two stunning tracks from Antrim who would have to be in the running for one of the best progressive house artists this year. A great signing for Fernando Ferreyra and Dreamers. Highly recommended.
