The latest release from Or Two Strangers finds label boss Antrim back in the spotlight with a brand new EP entitled ‘Floating Point’ . The Argentinean producer has grown into one of the progressive scenes most beloved artists. A perpetual favourite of Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, Antrim finds himself as one of his country’s premiere electronic music talents. As 2018 winds to a close he returns to his comfortable home of Or Two Strangers for a new EP alongside remixes from Analog Jungs and Hot TuneiK.

Antrim is an artist who has become increasingly diverse as his career has evolved. Once only known for his pure progressive creations, the Argentine has been exploring deeper shades of house this year as well. On ‘Floating Point’ we see him stick to his progressive house roots while incorporating subtle techno sensibilities. Warm and driving, it’s an inviting piece of music from the start. Backed by a fluid, freeform groove, it’s smooth chord changes coupled with playful melodic hooks make for a tastefully uplifting experience leading into the break. Advancing the narrative further, timely modulation on the lead theme opens it up for a great emotional response, before effortlessly shifting energy into an exhilarating final act. The companion piece ‘Perplexity’ sits as a lovely complement with its liquid like groove and catchy rhythmic qualities. Bulbous bass tones provide an immense sense of space while tranquil melodic concepts and windswept atmospheres continue to elevate the mood. A poignant lead motif grows more prominent as the second act commences, slowly engulfing the framework as percussive flurries and delicate electronics highlight a poignant conclusion.

The lone interpretation of ‘Floating Point’ is provided by Or Two Strangers label artists Analog Jungs. Based in Cordoba, the Argentinean duo have been one of the labels primary acts since making their debut in October of 2016. Much like label boss Antrim, the duo continues to find favour in the sets of Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. Here they provide a superb rendition of ‘Floating Point’ taking the track into dreamy territory with great results. The warmth and drive from the original is well conveyed, while the main theme has been reprocessed into a hazy effervescent trail of emotive energy. An impassioned rendition from Analog Jungs who once again prove they are one of the next breakout duos from Argentina's thriving progressive underground.

The release concludes with Hot TuneiK making his label debut and providing the lone interpretation of ‘Perplexity’. Hailing from Mexico and heading up the Hookah Records imprint Hot TuneiK seems to be in everyone’s playlists at the moment. His unique combo of groovy basslines and organic percussion have captured the imagination of the progressive world. His ‘Perplexity’’ interpretation continues that narrative with layered beats, rippling bass and spacious atmospheric concepts. With a greater emphasis on rhythm and groove Hot TuneiK delivers a perfect mid-set bridge or late night jam. A lovely complement to the original which rounds out another must have release from Antrim's Or Two Strangers imprint. Highly Recommended.
