DJ AroZe returns to Deersky’s Soundteller Records this week for a follow up to his ‘Lost Feelings’ EP. Released in February of this year It was the Israeli artist’s debut on the Polish imprint and remains his most highly regarded work to date. Now in the heart of the summer season AroZe returns to Soundteller with a new single alongside remixes from Biskuwi and Marcelo Paladini.

For as dark, dynamic and crunchy as ‘Lost Feelings’ was we get something a touch different on ‘I See You’. AroZe explores a slightly deeper, vocal led construction across an eight minute journey. The distinctive design which was so prevalent on the EP continues here and it’s an absolute joy to listen to. Bursting with ultrasonic qualities and a real flair for the dramatic, the electronics lay down a perfect foundation for the vocals to breathe and work their magic over. It’s incredibly haunting at points and the break is an excursion into cinematic decay and layers of noise, resulting in an unforgettable crescendo.

The first interpretation of ‘I See You’ finds Biskuwi returning to the label for his second appearance. The Stockholm based artist first appeared on the Polish imprint in April of this year with the two track ‘Norse’ EP. Also owning releases on Magician on Duty and PHW Elements, Biskuwi now finds his way back to Soundteller with a quality rework of ‘I See You’. Sitting as a nice complement to the original the groove gets stripped down and refined into something more techno inspired. Undeniably modern, it’s percussive flurries, delicate themes and clever use of the vocal make this an exceptional take.

The release concluses with Soundteller label artist Marcelo Paladini returning for his twelfth appearance. The Argentine’s smooth melodic creations have recently been showcased on Proton’s Particles and TwoSounds Records. Here he closes the release out in his own inimitable style. Deep and groovy from the outset, it’s a mix which accels on subtle yet poignant atmospherics and an indistinct take on the vocals. Moody at points throughout the first act, the main break opens up the pleasure centres with grandiose lines and a goosebump worthy build. It rounds out a very well constructed release with three versions well suited for different times of the night. Highly Recommended.
