Federico Monachesi – In the Shade (Remix Edition) [Specific Music]

The latest from Yegor Tsarkov’s Specific Music finds the label showcasing new interpretations of Federico Monachesi’s ‘In the Shade’ EP. Originally released in September of 2016 the two track offering showed once again why the Argentinean artist is one of his country's finest progressive house producers. Now almost two years later Specific invites Christian Monique and Michael A to reinvent the tracks for 2018.

First up Christian Monique makes his label debut following releases on Stellar Fountain and Lincor. The Italian artist always brings a fresh approach to each remix project and his 'In The Shade' interpretation is no different. Christian’s deep, dark take is quite compelling with a variety of interesting themes to get locked on to. A touch spooky at points, it's distinctive, wailing lead is no doubt going to capture the imagination of both old and new progressive house fans.

The release concludes with label artist Michael A returning for his eighth appearance. Based in Belarus and heading up the Genesis Music imprint, Michael has also found a home on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music and Cid Inc's Replug Records. Here he brings his groovy progressive style to 'Dogma' with great success. It's chugging foundation is nicely shaped for the dance floor while a variety of airy effects and harmonic motifs fill in the framework. A lone stab adds drama to the main break as electronics bubble towards a spaced out finale. Another deadly remix from Michael who continues to be one of the underground’s top progressive talents. Both versions sound absolutely fabulous, with warm, effervescent character and dramatic clarity. It's a testament to label boss Yegor Tsarkov who handles all the label's mastering. Highly Recommended.
