Antrim – Prokliseis / Green Heart [Or Two Strangers]

Or Two Strangers opens their 2024 schedule with a new EP from label boss Antrim. Continuing to build on his remarkable career, the Cordoba resident ended 2023 looking back on what was perhaps his best year to date. 'Risk / Suru' (via Or Two Strangers) got the year underway in impressive fashion, setting up a string of excellent offerings via Paul Thomas' UV and Nick Warren's The Soundgarden, before ending the year with a standout debut for Guy Mantzur's prestigious Moments imprint. Already making his mark in 2024, Antrim began the year back on Clubsonica Records, a label where he holds a long creative partnership, releasing the much anticipated Hernan Cattaneo supported ‘La Fin Du Monde’ and ‘Meeting Point’. Now, landing back on Or Two Strangers for his second release of the year, Antrim unveils his two latest studio creations ‘Prokliseis’ and ‘Green Heart’.

Never one to rest on his laurels, Antrim's sound has continued to evolve over the course of his career, and does so once again on the lead selection ‘Prokliseis’. Striking a balance between supreme club dynamics and off-kilter electronics, its rapid-fire sequences of rhythm, intricate percussive layers and hypno-pulses travel to the very edges, while aquatic flavoured arps percolate through a kaleidoscope of colours and contours, for a creation that is equal parts timeless and emotive.

'Green Heart' lands as the EP’s closer and does so in remarkably impressive fashion, stepping decisively on the gas and steering into uplifting territory. Never one to shy away from pushing musical boundaries, Antrim's melodic storyboarding rises and falls across act one, consciously withholding energy, as grooves pulse and textures open, creating a playful danceability that eventually comes to full fruition during a summer-inspired finale, one that closes out the release on a heartwarming note.
