Florian Gasperini – Reflection [Stellar Fountain]

Stellar Fountain opens the month of July by welcoming Florian Gasperini to the label for his debut single. Splitting time between Barcelona and Ibiza, Florian has been a recognized figure in the region's nightlife for some time, regularly performing at it's trendiest venues, such as La Terrazza, City Hall and Sala BeCool, Razzmatazz, Pacha, Space Ibiza, Catwalk and more. Equally accomplished as a producer, Florian's melodic sound has found a home on a variety of progressive minded imprints, most notably Massive Harmony Records, Suprematic and Univack. Now adding Stellar Fountain to his resume, Florian debuts on the label with 'Reflection', alongside remixes from Vandelor and Eduardo McGregor & Dulus.

The Original mix finds Florian crafting an organic inspired piece that's perfect for our sun drenched summer months. Warm, fluid and wonderfully percussive throughout, it's ultimately the melodic elements which win you over. Emotive and grandiose in equal measure, Florian's Mediterranean style motifs and haunting vocal choirs paint a bucolic picture, while exotic drum arrangements and vivid textures add just the right amount of colour for a gorgeous nine minute journey.

First up on the remixes are Eduardo McGregor & Dulus who not only make their label debut but present their first ever collaborative project. The duo add Stellar Fountain to an already impressive discography that includes releases via All Day I Dream, Tale & Tone, TRYBESof and The Purr. Now putting their magic touch on 'Reflection' Eduardo and Dulus add space and funk to the groove, while keeping the melodic spirit of the original very much alive, albeit in a less distinct and more contemporary fashion, ultimately making for a supremely groovy day time dance floor jaunt.

Rounding out the release and also making his label debut is Vandelor. Rising out of Peru's electronic underground, Vandelor's early productions were of the progressive minded variety, a sound which earned him recognition, before eventually finding a more comfortable home in the organic house world, where Amonita, Hernán Cattáneo, Izhevski, Makebo, MODD and more have been supporting his music. Continuing on that trajectory here, Vandelor masterfully reworks 'Reflection' into a balmy, broken beat excursion that's perfect for that mid-set day time dance floor sweet spot. Lovely stuff from Vandelor which caps another excellent release from Stellar Fountain that you're bound to be hearing a lot across the summer months. Highly recommended.
