Releases Nishan Lee – Voice of Ella [Stellar Fountain] By Release Promo Posted on 18th May 2019 0 second read 0 1 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin Nishan Lee returns to Stellar Fountain this week for his debut EP 'Voice of Ella'. The Sri Lankan artist first appeared on the Hungarian imprint in August of 2018 with a remix of Partenaire's 'Maelstrom'. Also laying claim to releases on Asymmetric Recordings, Movement Recordings and Strange Town Recordings, Nishan now returns to Stellar Fountain with 'Voice of Ella' alongside remixes from Willscape and Felipe Michan. Beginning with the groovy, spaced out sounds of the title cut it’s clear Nishan has crafted some of his most heady work to date. Lush and free flowing across it’s near eight minute journey, it’s a sensory delight full of astral designs and distinctive vocal elements. As Nishan's career has evolved so to has his production scope, once locked into a pure progressive sound he seems to be much more adventurous over the last year and this production is further proof of that. It's delicate, thought provoking narrative makes for a great listen could certainly work wonders on a late night dance floor. The companion piece 'Circle Of Life' continues the spacey ethos of it's predecessor with a deep rolling groove, unique sonic artefacts and a storyboard of tantalizing tones, the latter of which comes to full fruition during a heartfelt break which ultimately makes for such an impassioned creation. Two excellent remixes come from the very capable and currently on form Willscape and Felipe Michan. Having secured a few spots in our weekly Hype Charts, Willscape comes up roses once again with a mix that takes those astral qualities and adds an emotive twist. Timeless in execution, it's wistful atmospheres and smooth chord changes work wonders together, particularly coming out of a cinematic style break. The release concludes with Felipe Michan who turns in the most peak time worthy production on the release. The tempo shifts up considerably while the rhythmic structures get remade into something that sits comfortably in pure progressive territory. The energy and vibe are spectacular, evocative yet smooth and with a fiery third act that really brings all the elements together for a euphoric finale. It caps off another well rounded release for Stellar Fountain with Felipe's mix coming in as our favourite. Highly recommended.
