Continuing a successful second year, Nature Rec welcomes label boss Leo Perez back to the label for a new single. Hailing from Panama, Leo Perez first emerged as DJ almost two decades ago. His thoughtful track selection and smooth programming skills regularly delighted crowds at The Gallery Blue Room and Hedkandi Lounge. As one of Panama's most well known DJs, Leo went on to open for top international talents such as Audiofly, Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Luca Bacchetti, Nick Warren and more. As a producer, the Panama City resident lays claim to a over a decade's worth of discography credits, highlighted by releases via Balkan Connection, Droid9, Stripped Recordings and more. Now returning to his comfortable home of Nature Rec, Leo presents a new single 'Madre Tierra', alongside a remix from Gux Jimenez & Jab Vix.

Further diversifying his portfolio Leo collaborates with Gabycgl for a gorgeous slice of organic house. Warm shapely beats, voluptuous basslines and charming cross-cultural vocals make for a fresh sounding production from the outset. As exotic percussive arrangements fill in the framework it's mystical allure becomes hard to resist, so much so that a calming break complete with reflective overlays perfectly seals it's unique combination of rhythm, groove and emotion. A stunning production from Leo.

The release concludes with Gux Jimenez & Jab Vix providing the lone interpretation of 'Madre Tierra'. The Colombian duo and Oz Land label bosses are beloved for their progressive sounds. With a collective discography highlighted by releases via Balkan Connection, Clubsonica Records, Droid9, Mango Alley and Proton Music, the Colombian duo now unite for a heady rendition of 'Madre Tierra'. It's always nice when a remix is a distinct departure from the original and this certainly is. Tougher, darker and more progressive minded, Gux and Jab Vix use the vocal parts beautifully for a trippy yet spiritual sounding rendition that delivers some powerful dance floor magic. The cross cultural elements offset the more sinister sounding electronics throughout, and ultimately make for a very satisfying eight minute journey. Superb music from Gux Jimenez & Jab Vix, which closes out another excellent offering from Nature Rec, a label who continue to impress as 2021 draws to a close. Highly recommended.
